Ive been using their 5w40 european oil since thats what they suggested before but now they have the 0w40 in the signature series so I just ordered some :)

I run the 5w30 in my girlfriends accord and do the extended life filter and change it every 20k miles and the oil looks cleaner than the mobile 1 after 7k miles

You should also consider using their EAO filters if you're not already, that's the only way their extended drain intervals are valid. not to mention those filters have absolutely stellar numbers when it comes to filtering.

oh yes I already use them i think this next change on the 10 i will use this new oil along with the eao filter and then send off an oil sample at 3k miles and see what it says and then one at 6k miles

CaptnCrash, how often are you changing oil and filter? Which oil and filter are you using and lastly, how many mile on your 10?
Thanks in advance

Only used 0-40 while in winter storage other than that 15-50 Mobile1...........and don't believe everything you read about Amsoil and the 20-30,000 mile oil changes.....

I actually have 4 vehicles I use Amsoil in. I use the EAO filters on 3 of them as well as the 20w50 except the wife's car -- it's just weird.. I like the 20w50 because it has a good dose of ZDDP unlike many of the other weight / type oils.

I usually run out of time [ 1 year ] before I hit big miles, I try and change at 5000. Oil is like cheap insurance.

I've had this oil tested a couple times at 1 year and it was still quite usable but heck, it doesn't cost all that much. In fact it looks almost like the day I changed it.

The filter type for a Viper GenIII is EAO42 -- way better filtration that the MOPAR ones and most others.

But this stuff seems like it's a religion to most. Do whatever makes you feel good.

oh I don't just believe what I read I also test it and after 3 oil changed at 15k miles on the accord and the oil looks better and test better than the mobile one I used before with only 5k miles on it. of course if you have a car that is already worn out or puts more soot in the oil than a tight engine you're not gonna get 20k miles out of it no matter. on a side note the mopar manual recommends 0w40 for all temps and seeing the 0w means 0 weight oil for Winter I'm gonna go to the 0w40 and i used mobile one in my truck and the oil temps stayed 20 degrees above coolant all the time then i switched to the royal purple and the oil temp dropped maybe 5 degrees and then i went to amsoil and my oil temp is now 10-15 degrees cooler under normal driving and the same temp as the coolant when i do some racing, that right there sold me on it cooler oil last longer

I use Amsoil in my wifes X sport and my work trucks and the SRT-10. The work trucks are were 2011, 2013, and a 2015 Dodge ram 1500 hemi's. I have done the extended drain intervals on all the work trucks every 25k. Never had a problem and the oil has always looked good when draining. The wifes car does not have enough miles on it. And the last time I checked Amsoil does not have extended drain intervals for the viper engine. So I just change it every year. It might see 3k per year.

I think this new 0w40 is the signature series so it should be the extended but I'm with ya mine won't see 3k this year lol

somewhere else i read that people in hot environments use a different weight than the 0w40, any ideas?? i believe everything i read on hear, you guys are the best………. where do you get amsoil??
