Nice, just DO what keeps YOU happy with your truck, looks like it's a blast, enjoy!!!!! Just like people say I was crazy to trade in my truck but it all worked out for ME, now a Mercedes 550 may be next..............still haven't found that KEEPER yet but the search is fun for ME....

You should go C63 if you're going Benz! They are monsters.
I'd love to but out of my budget, the 550 I found is a CPO at a MB dealer with a great price due to the higher mileage but it was a CA car and in the pics it looks flawless inside and out so possibly looking later today or tomorrow........This one has the 5.5 V8, 382hp/391tq, 7speed auto with paddles, AMG 18" wheels and exhaust, pretty loaded but we'll see, thanks.
Chris I hate to break it to you but if you thought the 10 was too expensive to mod wait until you need to replace anything on that Mercedes. If anything big goes wrong with that car outside of warranty, it would have been cheaper for you to keep the 10 and the VW at the same time!
His gearing is still lower then mine, I'm stock 456's with auto and I'm at 2400rpm@75mph, I think what he did would be a blast!! It would probably feel like a 100hp gain.

I've owned a cl55 for a while (7yrs) and they are expensive at times.....but its just like the 10, miles of smiles. The C63 is definitely a monster and something to consider Chris.

For anyone curious I just did a 300 mile round trip over the weekend across the UAE where the speed limits are 85mph for the most part. With minimal city driving in the mix I averaged 13.5 MPG overall.

Not bad for that speed limit! Our Quadcab brothers get less than that at 60 mpg's!
Makes one hell of a difference when there's no methanol in the gas huh ...
