I didn't want it to come to this, but here we go.

I bought a set of headlights from Jeremy in March of 2012, paid $1230 USD for them and was pretty excited when I got them. They looked pretty cool and gave the truck a different look.

Turns out shortly after I received them I started having issues. One light was always dimmer than the other, they would flicker, only one would light, or randomly turn on or off, etc. People would call me or text me and say "Dude I know you cant see this when your driving but your lights are doing ____, ____, ____".

They looked cool when shut off but super embarrassing when they were on.

After some diagnosing I found the module that controls them had the connector totally corroded. So after talking with Jeremy he then sold me the "new update" version of the same component, which did look like a better design. Paid another $60 for this piece.

This never resolved the one being dimmer, flickering and random turning on and off light issues. So I finally figured eff it, I took the whole setup off the truck and reinstalled the factory lights. I then shipped the setup back to him to see if he can repair them.

I shipped them back to him on Sept 8, 2014, I have emailed him "only" 6 times throughout this 7 month period and kept my cool each time.

Ive now lost my cool, I figured I would let everyone know what happens when you spend WAY too much money on some custom lights and they don't work afterwards.

I asked Jeremy on March 23, 2015 the following, "Jeremy, we are pushing 8 months now. I have been very patient, even with you not replying to my last email. Whats the deal bud? If you dont plan to look at my lights then send them back to me so I can try and get them sorted out."

He replied with, "Tyler, I'm very sorry - I didn't see that last email there. Not sure how I missed that......I haven't gotten them here to look at them, I will bring them to the shop this week and get back to you with an estimate to repair. "

Its now April 17th and still nothing, WTF! I see daily new custom installs and mods that he's doing all over Instagram, but no time to take care of his old customers whose money he has already collected.

I wonder if this post will speed up the process or not?
 
Sorry to hear that. You figure you payed for them already and he would take care of you. and hes gonna charge you again to repair them when they never worked in the first place. Thats nuts. Do you have a pic of them?

Tyler, first off let me apologize. I shot back an email earlier, just hopped in my personal email and say the notification of this post and wanted to hop on as well. This one (obviously) slipped through the cracks more than once. No excuses, just insanely busy. These are at my warehouse, and when I am back there again tomorrow / Sunday I will bring them to the shop and figure out whats up.

It wasn't that they didn't work in the first place. They worked, but the harness we where using back when the order was placed a little over 3 years ago was not to the standards of the company I use for our HID products now. In fact, we moved all business from that company a little over 2 years ago, when we saw that over time the others where deteriorating, and warranty seemed to be non existent with them. Moved on, haven't looked back.

In reference to my email response of a repair quote, this is for a broken lens. I'll know more when I see the lights, but in prior communication with Tyler - somehow one of the lenses is cracked. Quite odd...it would be a first that I've seen in 5 years.

Tyler had my attention this afternoon when I saw his email. In the end, the blame is here, I know that. I am here to make it right - bottom line.
 
Those pictures you have are of the day they were installed. Notice the bottom picture how the passenger side looks dimmer than the drivers side. This only progressively got worse until they were doing what I explained above. It was always the passenger side that would sometimes turn on, sometimes not, flicker like a bitch, etc.

Yes the lens is cracked, also no clue how that happened but it is what it is.
 
Jeremy, honestly at this point in time Im not even sure that I want them back. There has to be a better solution than a Projector.

Is there not LED technology now that we can use instead?

LEDs are not at the same point as HID at this time. Output really isn't there......heck even the ones I carry (for other applications) are really best suited for fog lights.
 
I would be pissed too!! Spending that kind of money on headlights they should come
With lifetime warranty for that price!!
Just the time alone to get them repaired the cracked headlight should be replaced for free no questions asked for the In convince of this all!!!!
 
Never trust 2 bit shotty ass retrofitters. Which looks like he is. Sorry for your troubles but this isn't the first thing I've heard about these quacks....just saying

April 19, 2015 I gave him authorization to spend more of my money on these lights to get them back into working order.

August 31, 2015 - I have asked him if they are done yet (4 months) and he hasn't friggen replied yet.

FUCK JEREMY, just get my lights done!

Something is obviously not working with my email and getting them from you. I don't just ignore emails.....every one is cleared out before my head hits the pillow every night.....

as a small business owner myself i'm just curious - let's say you didn't get any of his emails...
at what point do you have a set of customer lights and think, maybe i should contact them myself - it's been X numbers of weeks or months?

Perfect world, yes. I could post up reasons on this, but it won't matter....its been too long, period. I'll get Tyler's number, call him this afternoon and we'll get it cared for.

Funny thing is it has been 1 year exactly down to the day, when I shipped them back.

And I agree, they have been in his possession taking up space for a year (minus shipping time) at his place. The box isn't exactly small either, if I had something that size of someone elses in my hands I would want it dealt with and gone. If I pulled this type of customer relations in my business, we wouldn't be in business......plain and simple.

Everyday there sure is some cool new lights that he has built showing up on instagram and wherever the hell else he posts shit, but he sure cant seem to find a hour to fix my problem.

He has my number now, its in his court. Im finally fucking fed up, I have been ultra patient and my patience are now gone.
 
you guys are right, no excuses. Just a huge oversight followed by an email issue......but, in the end........they'll be out by the end of the week.
