A customer of ours had to have the car brought in for a recall, an RRT and a front air dam replacement. He had us pick the car up this morning and I got tasked with getting the car here in one piece.

The power of these cars is absolutely incredible, it feels like at half throttle it would out accelerate my truck at full throttle. The shifter is so precise and the exhaust sound is absolutely perfect, I would not touch the exhaust. While it is all good, I wouldn't pay the money they are asking. When the price hits $35k to $40k I will buy one.

I still haven't even seen one in person yet.

Saw my first one in person yesterday. Personally, I thought the exterior was kinda boring. It looks almost like every other Chally. Compare that to a ZL1 or Z28 Camaro that look significantly tougher than a standard SS and I was a little disappointed. I did like the exhaust note on the Hellcat. And the guy that owns it also has a Kenne Bell supercharged 6.4 SRT8 and he said it's not even close to the Hellcat in terms of power.

Still haven't seen one in person either, but for that kind of money, I wouldn't mod absolutely anything on it.

I just witnessed a 6.4 Chally with a Kenne Bell put down 667 on the Dyno this past weekend. I wouldn't say that's disappointing.

I thought you drove one already? You sent a video on group me.

When I saw my first hellcat in the streets it was being driven by a chick since the plate said hellcatgirl. Anyway, at first I thought it was a 6.4 srt till I saw some hellcat graphics on the side and the badge.

They do look like a regular SRT challenger in person though.

K, once you started talking GM I nodded off, woke up and tried to decipher the point of you comment....So basically your saying buy a duramax instead??

when we had them at Roush, the hellcat hood was significantly different than the srt hood, are they not different anymore??? i know someone can just change the hood, but they were completely different last year. Roush got 2 in April 2014 and 2 Charger hellcats in Sep 2014

My uncle has one... definitely feels crazy, but not my kind of car.

My wife is pushing hard for me to pick one up. I wanted a 392 but apparently she rode in a HC Chally that was owned by one of her clients she's representing in family court. It's some whacked out lady that wanted to piss off her hubby before their divorce is finalized. The lady already totaled hers; :dontknow:KARMA I guess.. Anyway, my wife's convinced that we have to own one now.
