    Hey guys,

As you can see from the attached pic, the bump stops on my helper springs (that's what I call them) are toast. The other side doesn't look quite as bad, but its still in need of replacement.

Where can I get a replacement pair, and is there anything tricky about this R&R? Looks like simple threaded bolt with a nut on the end is all. Just haven't done it, so any heads-up would be helpful. Truck only has 28.6k miles. I was changing the oil today and saw this...thought I should address the issue.

    Thanks!

Not sure if they would still be available, maybe some of the guys might know. How about switching the slappers out for Caltracs?

Truck is lowered on X-metal spring over blocks... not sure I want to mess with Caltracs and then more pinion alignment issues potentially. ???

I guess I can go to the dealer shortly and just ask. I can't find any parts houses on-line that seem to carry it...but I may be looking in the wrong place. :p

Cal tracs would be a much better way to go especially with the lowering blocks. The blocks push the axle further away from the spring and causes worse axle wrap, probably why your bumpstops are so hammered now.

This is what I went with... agree with the above that they may not hold up long with axle-wrap. These will do for now... easy enough to install, and cheap enough, if they don't last, NBD.
