So Bobby needed some more power to turn his 6' tall 4' wide tires and contacted us to install a Roe/Whipple Supercharger into his Viper Powered SRT-10 Monster Truck! The dyno crushed when we put the truck on it so no numbers, lmfao. He's on 6psi and around 650/650 and pulling wheels now!
Was different working on a 14' tall Goliath from a 6' and 12' ladder. Haha
The results are astounding though and his first competition was a great success!
Was a pleasure to get this beast motivated.

Note Door height from engine bay! Dayumm

OK...

Can't resist,

Only Scott would dive into that engine bay (dirtiest engine bay ever) and make it more bad ass. We all know Vipers like to play in the dirt, this is just a whole new level. I've seen sand rails that rocket across the dunes, just, never a mudder.

The big question, what transmission does that bad boy have?

and Scott, a garden hose and a bucket of soap can be a good thing, even a Viper Mudder needs to show off once in a while...

Plenty of care was taken to not let any debris into intake runners ;)
It's a built T56 of course, what better ;)
Goes through a divorced monster truck transfer case which is very low ratio geared, to axles that are 6.78 I believe he said.
Clean is not anything about that truck but it is cleaner than a Dubai customers truck ;)

Quite frankly, I wasn't worried about debris. there is plenty of risk while playing in the mudd.

The ROE's got to be a pretty good option with all the low end torque, does he suffer belt slip as the engine bay takes a bath in mudd? I know a lot of people had to get the crank pulley pinned for various reasons. do you know what all mods are done to help keep that power to the wheels

I'm just curious.....

as a side note, I thought for sure there for a moment, he was going swimming there towards the end

was utterly important :)

Crank will be pinned for sure. Hade some fine tuning to do but he's sponsored by the place that put on the show so he had to be there last weekend. Built T56 with our CenterForce kit and hydraulics, stock internals, NGK plugs, Through manifolds and exhaust dumped after emptied front cats. As much as you see the engine rarely gets wet. Just slung mud everywhere, lol. It's in the works for sure but up and running, which was utterly important :)

I was hoping he would try to climb that hill at the end. Cool project!

There's a lot better video being edited. ;)
Tug of war against Fords/other Dodges/Chevys :) sorry Powerstroke/Cummins/Duramax guys, the results aren't in your favor

and... well?????

Hey Scott it's been awhile. But since your the last person I know to touch a Roe SC,, have they made a inter cooler system for it yet. And if there is no inter cooler wouldn't that affect performance by quite a bit. Just wondering why Bobby went Roe over other systems out there.

Roe doesn't make an intercooler for this setup. They use methanol injection to keep air temps down.

Ok so Meth is still the way to go, so nothing has changed with the Roe system. I'm nor sure how many were ever sold for the Viper motor but you would think after all this time that Roe or Whipple would have made a inter cooler system for the viper, not enough room for it, to expensive, I always wondered this one.

The intake plenum below the supercharger is only a couple inches deep because of the placement of the ignition coils so in order to place an intercooler large enough to do any good you either have to move the coils and knock sensors and go downward or raise the supercharger up and have clearance problems with the cowl. I think as a bolt on system the current setup is the best option - if you want more then you have to build it yourself because you get into an area that is not cost effective for a vendor. For a stock motor the current setup is perfectly fine as it is and at low boost you can run the methanol and not have to worry about engine damage.
