And when you watch Ford's cleverly crafted Ecoboost torture test on You-Tube, there isn't ONE sound clip that is the Ecoboost. Just dubbed-in sound from their 5L.

And now a V-8 sound comes in through the stereo speakers on their new Ecoboost F-150s so apparently Ford doesn't like the sound they make either!

They aren't the only manufacturer doing this.

Agreed Nuke, I have a buddy with a heavily modded Buick V6 and (at best) it sounds like a giant bee, under w.o.t.

I'm gonna hold on to my truck for dear life then. Cuz I ain't no tree hugger. And for a man with two growing children and responsibilities to consider, this is my last hoorah.

As for myself with the slow oil patch and bad exchange rate it makes it tough to buy or upgrade anything right now. Because I'd love to add a SRT challenger to the stable not so much as a investment. But because I believe history repeats itself and the big muscle will soon be gone just like the late 60's. As said above there will be another muscle era in the future but I'm pretty sure it won't include anything bigger then a V6. So hang on to those big engines if you can.
 
yeah hear comes the K car again, with a Fiat badge and a v6, maybe no turbo oiling problems this time. what makes me wonder is the fact that FC will be behind the ball as ford is already back into turbos and i heard rumors last year about buick bringing the GN back so I'm assuming that GM is working on it now. I haven't looked around for several years, does FC even have a turbo nowadays??

Last turbo I know about was the SRT-4.
 
I drive a turbo Abarth 500. That engine is available in the Dart, 500L, 500X and Renegade.

And canviper, yes my truck is for sale.

Sad to hear she is for sale. Beautiful truck. If you don't mind me asking what's your next project if you sell.
I may have to sell my truck if I don't get working soon.
