Might I add, 18.4 mpgs empty and 15 mpgs loaded. A few hundred pounds of tools in the back of the D in case of a road side issue.

I wish mine got 15 mpg at anytime. About the only thing these trucks won't pass. A Fuel Station.

You must have a QC if you can't get 15mpg, I regularly get 18-19 mpg with an RC.

Yes I do have QC. Haven't had it long. Going to have to try some modifications to try an up its mpg though. It gets 10 or less on a regular basis. However I can't hardly keep my foot off the floor

Just bought a new ram quadcab big horn, with the smaller diesel, and get 18 in the city and about 29 on the road...great little engine...but the real secret is the 8 speed tranny...it really moves the truck well...my $.02 any of the older RAM's always were poor on MPG..let alone the Viper package..

If you bought one of these trucks, the last concern should be gas mileage, or you should have gotten something else. It ain't built for high gas mileage, it's built for speed. That's the equivalent of marrying Jennifer Aniston and expecting her to stay home and cook and clean all day

Oh no I bought the truck to make all these people with small horsepower cars an trucks regret spending the money and then trying to race people at every intersection. My nephew is selling his car after he couldn't bet my truck over this last weekend. 2013 Dodge R/T Challenger with the 6.1 hemi. Both of us were in the high 12's to low 13's. He just couldn't handle being bet by a truck.

Can't argue with better mileage, power is still there when you want it. Haven't had mine long enough to let go of the loud pedal yet

Back to the tow, I towed the Excursion and wow I was impressed.

Ironically just a month earlier when I bought the SRT10 I towed it about 300 miles home using that Excursion.

Well the truck pulled the Excursion way easier than the Excursion pulled the truck, and Excursion also has a V10 in it.

The braking from the truck was equally impressive. Amazed how well it stopped with that much weight.

My only complaint would be the swaying. And I did have an anti-friction sway bar hooked up on the trailer, but it was so much weight it didn't help much. It wasn't terrible but I wouldn't pull going over about 55 mph because of the occasional sway that felt a little uneasy.
