Did anyone else get a letter from Chrysler about their Air Bag needing
replaced and is there anyone in Houston area that can recommend
Trusted Dodge Dealer that works on SRT10's
 
there is a thread or 2 already coverin this topic.

last i heard was, no parts
 
Air Bag Recall on Ram SRT10

Parts are already available had mine done 2 months ago the driver side. You just have to visit your dealer and schedule an appointment. One issue I had was the dealer broke my horn cover replacing the airbag and they had to replace it.
 
just got anothe letter yest. in the mail about this
 
Ive gotten 3 letters over the last 8 months.... I guess I should probably schedule an appointment huh
 
im in no hurry i dont want some careless mech. in my truck screwing stuff up
 
Mine supposedly was done when the dealer had my truck for 2 weeks. I cant tell and dont really care. My dash isnt broken or anything and I have paperwork stating it was done so if I get a grenade to the face from the air bag, I can sue this dealer to hell.
 
do you have a recommendation for a Dodge Dealer in Texas that you would let work on
your truck? or have had good experience with?
 
Did a quick search, I don't see any updates, I have had the notice for my 2005 Truck for about 3 months now, anyone know when the parts will be available ??

They've been available. We have already done hundreds of them, my 10 included.
 
I received one notice months ago and called the dealer. The parts were not in and I was told they would send a notice when they had them. I never heard back so I called again and was told they had the parts. Took my truck in two weeks ago and had it replaced. Try calling your local dealer to follow up.

Just contact any Dodge Dealer. They should all have the parts now.
 
When the dealer replaces the right side air bag, what happens to the metal SRT 10 strip that runs above the glove box?
 
Do they replace both sides or just the steering wheel ?? I just checked and a dealer near me has some in stock, very poor info from FCA they never contacted me after 4 months of waiting...very poor, I am starting to wonder about the Fiat/Chrysler future ???

Maybe when GM buys us they will be better at communicating......
