Well my truck is at my buddy's shop and he just got the trans out. What I thought was going to be a basic master/slave upgrade has now turned into me needing a clutch (wish I knew ahead of time as I would have just ordered the whole package, as I ordered just the hydraulics and Fidanza together). My truck will mostly be street driven, is stock for now but very much have intentions of getting the ol' girl up around 600whp at some point. I will definitely go to the track on occasion and will run something stickier than stock tires. For you SRT-10 veterans out there what are the best suggestions? Thanks in advance. My buddy has mention Centerforce and Southbend and one other that I have already forgot, it wasn't Spec though as he implied he's had some not so good experiences with them. Thanks!

By the way..... I bought this truck as it is and I have never driven it. Figured I'd throw that out there so you guys don't think I'm a complete moron not knowing that I smoked my own clutch. :D

How many miles on your truck? I replaced my clutch with another OE one when I had my motor rebuilt since at the time they said it was done. I wish I would have replaced the slave and master at that time as well would have saved me some money in having to have those replaced only 3 months later.

My oe clutch was done at 78k. I bought the truck with 70k.

Truck only has 23K on it. Like I said I bought it this way so I'm not exactly sure how the hell someone already smoked the clutch. Are there different variations of the Centerforce? I'm seeing a dual friction on all the websites. Is that the one I want?

I just had my Spec installed. Once I pick her up tomorrow and see how she feels I can let you know!

One variation boss.

Truck is alive and moving. All new Viper hydraulics, Fidanza, and Centerforce clutch. Also put on Tony's steering and oil lines! Anyhow back to the clutch... Unfortunately the truck just got put back together and we have had nothing but rain and now snow. With that being said I haven't had the ability to really drive it, only a few miles from my buddy's shop to my house. Question- when I let out the clutch pedal and the clutch is just engaging I get a bit of a screeching sound. Almost like a metal to metal contact. Is this normal with this clutch as it is breaking in? I was thinking it could possibly be because of the compound the the clutch is made up from???

I don't remember any squealing .... There is very little break in with the dual friction disc....give it a1000 miles .... just be sure it doesn't get worse! If the noie gets worse or changes, get it looked at!

Thank you. The noise only lasts about a second. Once the clutch has engaged it no longer makes the noise, nor does it need to be under much of a load, from a stop if I just let the pedal out without touching the gas pedal it still does it, but then it stops immediately once I let off the pedal and the trucks strats in motion..... Weird

that is similar sound to what I was getting with my centerforce and fidanza flywheel after hard launches at track or towing. it cleared up after a few miles of driving and taking it easy on the clutch

Gad to here the truck is OK bud!!!!!! Enjoy......

I just put a centerforce in mine, same boat as you the weather sucks here in Ma. I had the same screech the very first time I used the truck. The only difference from yours is I have a stock machined flywheel.
