New hellcat ram

275/40/20 on a 9.5 rim with the 700 ponies is a serious oversight imo....that is a cruel joke by Dodge to play on buyers who want to use that power !!!

The HC Jeep is a go thats for certain. If they were to make a HC ram with an auto it would sell if it has at least 4 doors.

Just like there is a market for the raptor an off road truck that most owners never take off road. I see a large market for a fast 4 door pick up truck since there arent any.

I couldn't disagree more.... nor could Ralph Gilles. I believe he actually said that if they were to ever build another SRT Ram that they would never build an extended cab version again. The engineering that went into the RC was extensive, the QC on the other hand was not. In my mind it was a brutal butcher job from Chrysler. I don't mean to knock the QC's as I would love to have one as a bad ass run around town cruiser, but never would I want to own one as my "sport vehicle". After having my Viper and driving an SRT Ram again (RC), I now know more than ever how much of a fat pig this thing is, never mind a QC.

You take that back!

Most of these guys had DR's on em. Only one running street tires.

Got it.

If you stay with the stock wheel then you are still limited to a 275/40 M/T. To go up to the 305/35 then they recommend a 11" minimum width, I hope they spent the coin to go wider.

Like I said before. Just because you have the money to buy it doesn't mean you have the skills to drive it. Lol

Ford don't even make a 2 door Raptor. I had a 4 door truck way before (1995) they were popular. Back then you could not even get one in any 1/2 ton line up. Today it's almost impossible to find a new 2 door truck on any lot.
The other thing that gets me is Dodge invented the 4 door but was the first company to stop making them. They were also the only company without a big block gas or Diesel engine options. Well until Roush put the Cummins in one for that very reason.

I know four door pickup's are really popular but when you need to produce a truck that is going to put out phenomenal numbers it's not going to be a big four door.

Hmmm, let's see if I understand. Ya get a RC to race and once or twice a year you take it out of the garage and spin the tires. 11 yr old truck with what---10 or even 20K miles on it---or less. I have 120K on my ugly QC and get the joy of driving it each and every day. Now then, I have a gun safe with what we call "safe queens" to go and and admire occasionally but at truck that preforms like ours (whether QC or RC) and keep it in the garage to look at while drinking a cold one is well----nonsensical---at least in Texas. Besides, I am 68 and never know when my time is up so who wants to leave a beast like ours to kids that really could care less when I can be out playing with the children in their latest wind up toy cars from Japan? :D:D:D

We get it.....you drive your truck. So do most of the rest of us. I used my RC for lawn service and I've towed many broken down fords and chevys with it. I've hauled many loads of firewood and Have taken tons of road trips with it. I've used it for work, play, and it has sat some. But, it doesn't take 4-doors to do any of that. It does however make it easier to go faster with only 2 doors. That's the only point being made above. There is no argument that less weight is faster with same power.

Just for the record, I just bought this truck and haven't driven it 10 miles yet. Secondly, I've literally been working 70+ hours a week, so even if it was 80* and sunny I wouldn't have that much time to drive it (bitter/sweet... no work = lots of time but no $, lots of work = no time and lots of $. Am I the only one that see's a problem here? :D) I can promise you that I am going to drive the hell out of this truck when the opportunity is there.

Agreed----but if speed is the only reason to buy our trucks then there are a ton of better platforms for achieving purely speed goals. But----to each his own. I have a wife and grand kids so an RC makes no since whatsoever. Figuring if I wanted just speed there are a ton of Vipers for sale and I understand that the new Caddy beats our HP by 150 or so. :dontknow:

you'll be happier working those hours even if all you do is take it to the store once its fixed. that right pedal makes your troubles go away until the fuel light comes on………..

The only reason a lot of us bought these trucks, is because there's very few of them and we love to drive them, even if its not everyday. :burnout:

agreeee.. Mine is DD and i drive the shit out of it! Race it on the weekends and take it on some road trips. I hate seeing it go past 100K miles but every mile i put in it has been with a smile

I hear of people buying these trucks then trading them in for something else they like, just to buy one all over again cuz nothing compares to them. You can all say what you want about my fat girl truck. In the end, she's the one that gets all the hungry looks from the boys when she's next to these scrawny ass dime a dozen muscle cars. I'll take those curves and that heavy weight anyday... And yes gentlemen, she is my DD.:D

I wish man. A few more days and she'll be straight to E's house for the conversion. Good as new and ready to drop them gears to disappear.
