Can someone clarify for me if there was a passenger side recall at some point? I never received a recall notice for my old truck (if there was one then). Thankfully the old owner of my new truck has forwarded along the drivers side recall to me this past week.

There was a recall for both sides, you don't need the card, just call a dealer and give them your VIN. They'll tell you what you need to do.

I had my truck inspected by a local dealer here in Texas as I under the impression that the Recall was for both. Turns out my Passenger Side was fine, I just needed a Driver Side.

I thought the recall was only for the passenger side. I took my truck in last year and had it fixed. A couple days ago I received another notice in the mail stating it is for the R25/NHTSA 1V-313 so now I will have to call and see whats going on.
R25 is the driver side airbag inflator.

Hard to understand this, but if you're saying there are no parts that's incorrect. They are readily available at most dealers and can be done right away.

I drove by the dealership to set up an appointment last Saturday. They said pull it right in it should only take 20 minutes. It was fun watching all the mechanics come over to it to check it out when it came in.

My my dealer going to have no parts at all tell me they might not have parts and tell next year
You might have a passenger air bag recall, they are hard to come by. We have only done 2 of those.

Finally checked into getting this done. (Very reluctant to go to a dealer) They ran my VIN and it is only the driver's side. I thought I had notices for both, but it may have been for a different truck (08 Dakota) that I no longer own.

Being in GA, I completely understand the dealer reluctance. They replaced my driver and didnt break anything thankfully.

That's the plan according to Mopar. Recalls are like vampires, they live on forever & never die. Lol
If somebody brings in a 11 year old bike the dealer/manufacturer has to fix it for free. Unbelievably I have run the vin on many a used bike (just bought by a new owner) only to find open recalls from years ago.
However if the vehicle was ever declared a "total loss " the manufacturer does not have to fix it. Even if it has obviously has problems with the recalled part
Even had one dumb ass that refused to get it done because he didn't like the look of the new recall repair part.
Just remembered this from one of the many H-D classes I went to. Once upon a time they had to manufacture a new obsolete frame (the recalled part for cracking) for an old bike with an open recall. H-D put 5 frames aside in case of this but they all were used over the years.

Well crap...
Just got a notice for the S43 airbag (Passenger side)
Already did the R25 (Drivers side), now I have to go back to the damn dealer.
Unfortunately the notice said there are no parts available. Guess I'll call tomorrow and see what the hell is up. Not looking forward to this.

I just did the driver bag in mine...she told me when she was checking me in that the pass bag was on recall too..."we can't do anything with it now though, no parts available" i'm betting my dad's RC is going to need them done too....ugh

I got my recall notice for the passenger air bag on saturday as well. Driver air bag was replace last year as well.

Had the drivers side done earlier this year..was told recently the passenger part(s) would be another six months out..that's ok as my wife is too scared to ride with me anymore..especially after I told her I had it up to 130mph one night...

Was the Passenger side released after the Driver side? I know the Driver side was done on my Truck, but maybe I should have the Dealer run the VIN for the Passenger side?
