Hello everyone, new to this forum but not new to performance vehicles. Just sold my Jeep SRT8 and picked up a 2004 Reg Cab SRT 10 truck up here in Canada.

What is the orange switch to the left of the steering wheel on the dash? Also since I just got the vehicle and work at a Chrysler dealer...what should I get my mechanics to look for when they give it a once over?

Thanks in advance.

Where are you located? Could you post up a pic?

Yea a pic would be nice they don't come with an orange switch

In Germany we have to add an orange Switch for a fog-taillight.
Maybe you have something similar in Canada.

I see that you are new here; but it is forbidden to even speak of THE ORANGE SWITCH.

I have no idea what you are talking about either... orange switch?

Welcome to the club!

Do not, I repeat, do not ever use the ORANGE SWITCH. That switch was specifically installed when you exceed 154 mph and need to eject. Only those trucks equipped with a sun roof should even have the dreaded ORANGE SWITCH activated. Please be very careful.

And welcome to the nut house. :burnout:

No orange switch in Canada. Don't touch it though if you like your truck, bad things will happen

Hahaha, I was thinking maybe he was referring to the red button but it's on the other side

No kidding, and you would think the manual would make that extremely clear!!!

I guy I knew once was dumb enough to touch that god damn curse... Let's just say it wasn't pretty. God knows why Chrysler even thought that was a good idea, I'm surprised these never got an immediate recall.

What side of the truck is your steering wheel on, right or left? That might explain why the button is left of the wheel.

damn! i wanted to know what the hell it was
