Hey guys,
last winter during my truck hibernation , I decided to give it some much needed love and attention. When I got the truck last june, it was really not a his best, so I just made maintenance and major clean up and roll it till november. It ran strong but I had some electrical issues at the end of the summer wich were kinda weird and non-related to each other. There were some mods that I wanted so I made a list to do and went on it,things are turning good for that truck  :
Repairs:
1:Non working keyless entry and won't lock/unlock with the door switch unless the keyswitch is ON.

2:p0141 and P01061 CEL come on sometimes after 30 sec the truck been running.

3:Radio will work sometimes , but not when you want it.

Mods to do:
1:JTSVP shifter
2:Lowerings blocks
3:Wires,coils and plugs
4:JMB cold air intake

Visuals:
1:polished intake manifold
2:Upper and lower radiator pipe

And what I've found for the electrical issues is pure hack job. My truck have been molested by the last owner who did a one of a kind job. The harness that is passing on the driver side to the fuse box and etc.. have been partially cut when it was hit in the left front area (hit by a harverster while stored in a barn). He did repair it wire by wire but never weld any wire, just shrank tube on twisted wires. I re-did all the harness with deutsch connectors and welding+shrank tube the wires. Then a new loom and it was done , but man if I knew that before... the truck would't even move from the driveway before repair

After that, I removed the intake manifold and polished by hand.
Started with 180 grit paper to finish with 2000 grit with water. Some tripoli paste with a dremel and a good shot of mother's paste. I was in a dilemma if I was clearcoating it with powdercoat or not, I finally did and I don't regret it even if it remove a bit of shine. I took about 60-65 hours to get it done and I've been lazy I didn't polished it undereath lol.

Then the final photos after it all. I love the look with the lowering blocks , should have come this way from the factory.

And for the engine, I sandblasted the valve covers and polished the "VIPER". The rest is powdercoating with clearcoat. Runs like a champ, not a fast one but still. Many details and more to come next winter but for now let's drive

Great work! Truck looks great!

Looks sweet! Not to criticize, but what's up with everyone running their wires that way? Were you just lazy to run them back the same way, or do you like the look of them that way?:D

I cut, spliced, weld then put shrank tube on each wires. The harness part for the abs module was completely cut, so I installed a 12 pin deutsch connector instead.Looks clean and it's the way I've been doing it for many years on CAT machines, quite a long process imo lol

I like the over valve cover style my self.

Sorry Chewbaca I misunderstand you, I took them from Tony and this is a different routing that I like :) Tought that you were talking about my destroyed harness lol (english is not my main language)
