Ex-Employees Say Hennessey Is A Bigger Mess Than You Ever Imagined

Now that email from Hennessey makes sense. Sent them one about doing the engine in my old 10. They would not touch it with a 10' pole. Me thinks that they don't want to deal with anyone that might actually know what they are talking about. Just shopping for suckers with a fat wallet to pluck.

Sounds like the same old story. Robbing Peter to pay Paul.

Good article. His company is a train wreck and just about every wrencher on every forum knows it, why people still throw their money at him boggles my mind.

You run a shop is it really that hard or is it simply a case of just taking on to much and not knowing when to say no, or is it just greed?

Greed IMO! Long ago it was literally robbing Peter to pay Paul. Cars sat in the shop years! People would pay to have car worked on, he'd spend the money, next car come in, use that money towards first car, and so on. Even parts were swapped car to car!

Hmm, sounds like our government. :D

I read that last night on facebook.

Not exactly a revelation... but still some pretty bad press.

I remember seeing one of his turbo builds on a srt-10 QC on youtube blowing smoke out the tail pipes.

The horror stories that come out of that shop amaze me. I had some work done at Lingenfelter a few years ago on my Chevy SSR, and they were such professional, easy to work with people, who did awesome work. Then theres that place

You are the second person I heard that had work done by them and it was fantastic.

Can't say anything about Hennessy but can tell you that the shop that builds his transmissions rebuilt mine. Rebuilt my 48re at 46,000 miles and at 121,000 have not added fluid, adjusted the bands---done nothing but drive the crapola out of it. Hennessy may be a bad guy but his transmigration re-builder sure did me a great job. If mine should go down again I will ship it to Mike.
