Any idea is someone makes an accelerated/high speed fan for our air conditioners? At 95-105 degrees here in Texas the truck never really get cool. Yep, Freon is topped off. I just need a turbo fan.
Thanks in advance.

the fan has 2 speeds, low and high. I hardly never hear the High speed kick on but when it does it drops the temps fairly quick. Do you have a 170 or 180 T-Stat? if not you might get one and have your tuner change the fan timing based on your lower temp T-Stat. of wait your talking about something else LOL...nvm mind my reply lol... yea i wouldnt know how to make the fan blow harder

My bad----ain't talking about the temp of the truck engine but the temp inside the cabin. Air Conditioner fan. Looking for a "turbo" fan that will blow the cool air a whole lot faster and cool the cab quicker.

Not sure if there's an option for that. I do know it was 97 degress here the other day and very high humidity. I ran my truck 10 minutes in driveway with ac on before I left the house. By the time I was two miles from home I had to turn the fan motor down because it was freezing me out. Mine is silver so heat isn't as bad as red and mine is RC rather than QC which makes a difference. Good Luck. I know how frustrating a hot truck van be(my ac was undercharged till last year).

My blk RC air conditioner was damn near non exsistant here in AZ when its about 110 outside. Especially the passenger side.

Hell most of the time I ride with my windows down and ac on full blast lol

Ha, ha, used to do that when I was, well before this truck was even thought about. Too old and allergic to most everything that grows so need the air conditioner. Can't even run with windows down in 70ish weather. Oh well, gonna look for a turbo for the fan. Gotta be something out there.

Mine works fine down here in FL.

A faster fan can actually cause it to be less cool. Move the air too fast past the coil and it won't cool.

Likely with your mileage the condenser has accumulated grass, dirt, and debris. It needs to be washed and cleaned so it can breathe better. Also seen plastic bags trapped between radiator and condenser causing less cooler AC than normal.

I'd start with a cabin air filter, they're cheap and easy. Buddy of mine had a 00 Silverado that was clogged so bad the blower motor couldn't get any air out if the vents.

My truck takes a long time to cool the cabin too.

I am going to tint the front windshield eventually. I did it on 2 of my other cars and the difference in heat is huge. 50% tint is hardly noticeable but it really cuts the glare and heat.

I'm in FL as well. I find that putting the fan speed and 1 level below max, gives me the quickest cool down. If I put it at max, it will take a long while before it gets cold. I also know that the passenger side gets cooler if the mixer lever is not maxed out. I don't like sitting over there, but it happens on occasion.:D

I would also make sure your fresh air/recirculate blend door hasn't broken off in the dash. You will have a very hard time cooling if that happened.

Ok, Coils in front of the radiator are clean as a whistle. Replaced the fan motor 3 weeks ago and door was working fine. The fan blows cold air out all the vents and can change from upper to lower and both high and low and all controls work. Will try keeping it on low fan for a while so see if that helps. Otherwise I need some meth----for me and the fan. :D

Mine did the same thing, I blamed it on stop and go traffic. When I was finally able to get out of the stop and go it eventually made the cabin cold it did take longer then I thought it should.

My srt-6 ac will give you freezer burn within 5 mins of sitting straight in the hot sun, its ac chills the cabin asap, doesnt matter if its stop and go and continuous moving. Ive also never had to top the freon in this car since ive owned it (4 years). Ive topped off the truck twice, once each year so I have a minor leak it seems.
