I never got that particular code but I did get one related to leak detection pump, mine was for a kink or blocked line. It took me a year to figure it out, I changed the gas cap, charcoal canister, tried to tune the evap out (cant do by the way) and finally changed out the actually leak detection pump with a used one from ebay and it fixed it.

Basically what im saying is it can be anything related to evap system on these trucks. I'd replace the leak detection pump first. You can buy a used one off ebay, they arent viper v10 specific just search for your model year truck. Best of luck, evap problems suck.

I've had the same issue for years. P1494. When the weather is cooler I can use my scan tool to remove the code and it will stay off the entire Spring or Fall. As soon as the temps warm up and Summer rolls around, the code comes back. I figure it can't be that important if it only trips the CEL in the Summer. ??????

I have this same code in my QC. Just in the last week it started not taking fuel at the pump. It takes 5 minutes to put 5 gallons in it.:dontknow:

Your check valve is stuck bud. Remove and blow through full and vent lines

Replaced the leak detection pump (took 10 minutes) and no more check engine light. Should have done that years ago.

Where is the pump located? I am having a hard time finding any schematics, and the ones I found on The Viper Store left me even more confused

You'll find it near the evap canister which is next to the big azz gas tank. It looks like this.

Years ago I bought a used one for like $20 bucks or something and it fixed my evap check engine light.
