Need help with my srt10 problem with the dealership

Actually, don't think he will post again til he figures out how to walk back that tune statement. I bet he now knows that is a big hole in his story

I used a snap-on computer or hand held tablet thats can make adjustment and read what everything on the ecu connection that is under the dash of the steering colum. I put the snap-on connection to the truck, put the trucks information in like the vin, make, model, motor size and etc. Went throw the setting for the motor and the transmission setting. It shows up the factory limitor that i can adjust where the limitor should be where the red line is at 6000rpm. Went did it. Took the truck around tested the truck gas and air mixture and had another computer to graph the data i needed.after i was done with it it was running perfectly fine and was reacting better when he applys gas pushing the gas pedal. That was 2 yrs ago so it ran better than what it did when my military father had it for 1yr that he want me to do.

:D:D:D:D:D:D:burnout::bs:

Common now, hes just fixing his vet dads truck, hes been offered 100k and turned it down , and is a master mechanic ,,, Im sure he just docked his galaxy s7 into the port and hacked his way in..

Im past that hole bs, with the offer. And wrong again i dont have a galaxy s7 into the port and hacking my way in. I havent tuned the truck down at all. Im not a master mechanic but i sure can be there. But if u wanted to assume im a master mechanic than ill take that comment haha

SRT10VENOMOUS im done argueing with u, because u havent seen what ive done or here to see what the trucks doing with the situation my veteran father is in. So if u want to keep using emojis and the bs and keep thinking about the offer. I honestly as an adult dont have anymore time to listen to u right now if there no details of what the problem is.

Id take the money and run. Definitely be able to buy one for way less than what you sell yours for with even less mileage.

Once again a full story and spotty info. Help me help you! So do you have a snap on scanner? If you do let me know all the codes and if you replaced the crank sensor and are still getting the same codes 2 things faulty new senor or bad wiring. You could even have something pulling down the 5v reference signal. You said you were graphing the data. What data you talking about and I will check to see if my scanner will let me change my rev limiter. Because I have never seen that in the scanner. Help me help you!

The truck did the same think it did before when u get in first gear and try to get past 2000rpm. It backfires and stumbles like it would cut out. The rpm needle shoots to 6000rm and shot down to 1800rpm and backfires again. The truck has no aftermarket tune installed to it. Its all factory setting. The only think i changed on the computer was the factory setting for 2500rpm where it leans the gas out where it sounds like not enough gas was not getting to it. But thats all the truck was changed if u want to consider that not aftermarket tune.

:dontknow::dontknow::dontknow::

i'm 95% sure the snap on scanner won't let you change the rev limiter. it's a scanner, not a tuner.

common now, its legit.. he aint playin..

everythign about this thread is legit..

Im sold.. Im done messing with this kid,, Ill try and help now..

I think what he needs to do is put in new muffler bearings, they typically wear out and cause the exhaust flow to get gummed up and that causes the truck to fall on its face and back fire.

I think he should also check the Crank Damper fluid,, If thats low it could be throwing his crank sensor out of wack.. and may cause the RPM to shoot up like hes saying.

And worst case if those two items are ok I bet its the cam shaft tightener if those get lose then you get some real problems.. and that is where the snap on tuner helps with changing the rev limiter as the cam is all out of wack..

Hey sory for messin wiht you bro... I know these trucks can be tricky but check those items and im pretty sure you will get her running again, and i bet youll even dyno over the 600hp you were telling us about..

Good luck..

Wow, you need to do a write up with detailed instructions and pictures. You are able to do what Viper/Viper Truck owners have been wanting to do for better than a decade. Chrysler has made it impossible for folks to do this on the Viper motor. With the exception of some piggy back equipment and the SCT, owners with this motor are limited by not being an open system like a lot of chevy and ford products

You could save people hundreds if not thousands of dollars

I look forward to your documenting this break through

Wish I could help your dad out, helping one would be worth the 1000's of people your write will help. It will save people from buying an SCT and the tunes at an extra cost

I was reading through this thread when I came to your post. Just curious...what did vipergirl do that was bizarre?

this is one of the most bizarre posts in a while... none of which makes sense.

i wonder if he's dating vipergirl?

He may have the early production LS2 Viper engine, therefore it is open to Snap On scanners.
