So, I’m looking to buy an 05 qc. My question is, how do these trucks hold up to miles? Is 80k getting up there for these trucks? I’m going to use it to tow a fair amount as well. Also can I end up getting too low of a mileage one and end up running into issues because the car sat?

Thank you

It really depends on how they are driven and maintenance

That’s hard to know. Every body says they took it easy on their car and maintained it well. Or if I buy from a dealer it’s a big question mark.

You can usually tell if a car has been cared for or beat if you look hard enough.. Carfax undercarriage and interior are good first steps.

I'm at 170K and runs as good as the day I drove off the lot. I hope 80K isn't considered getting up there. I might be in trouble...

You can always talk to the seller and take it to a shop and have it drained and inspected but will cost you but well worth it. You could pull the dipstick and see what the fluid looks like and smells like. I bought mine and 3 days later tranny needed a full rebuild. There was no issues when I test drove it

It's mostly based on how it was driven and taken care of for thoes 80k miles. They aren't cheap to maintain and all these broke ass kids that own more than half of these trucks don't take care of them. Not to mention most don't have a clue what they are doing when they work on, or mod them.. Steer clear of modded trucks unless you trust complete strangers to work on your shit..

Be sure to include the cost of a trans rebuild/replacement into your bottom line..
