Dam that's a clean truck Psycho! Mine's black too but I live on 1/2 mile of gravel. Got my new black Grillecraft inserts finished and all the grille lighting done yesterday we've had a spell of somewhat decent weather here in God's country took advantage of it. I know PIC'S. Going out as soon as it get's dark enough and take care of that. Can't believe someone's not took your hot rod off your hands.

Yes...A couple Brokers would like to "sell the truck for me". NOPE.

Contacted by a gentleman in Dubai. VERY skeptical. We will see how that goes. Good thing is I'm in no hurry. I do not WANT to sell it. It is paid for and trouble free, so I'll keep enjoying it until the right buyer comes along.

I'll give it an oil change today along with a spit shine and run over to the local Saturday night drive in car show. It is very fun to drive up in the black Superbeast with the deep, exotic rumble from the B&B exhaust and turn heads, meet cool people and I ALWAYS get nice compliments. I also relish the fun in explaining to some that the truck was built this way from the factory. They are so astonished.

OH! and for anyone still in a debate on what oil is best for our trucks (So many opinions), check this....

    https://540ratblog.wordpress.com/2013/06/20/motor-oil-wear-test-ranking/

I have always used the Factory recommended Mobil 1 0W40 SN and now FS formula with the Mopar 090 filter. It is #5 on "The List"
As a reference, the Mobil1 15W50 syn. SN is #170 :chain:

    Cheers Guys!

From experience My stepdad just sold his 67 mustang fastback on craigslist. A broker contacted him. He got a wire transfer of funds and car was picked up on a trailer and it was shipped to France. Car was purchased for a solid number $34k I think sight unseen which was crazy to me. So FYI be skeptical but it could work out. So dont just blow them off if you get a solid offer..

Sorry to see you have it up for sale. We are a couple old timers on this forum and in the valley. As you know I drove mine...a lot! Parked it for a couple years and was going to sell it but my better half talked me out of it. I dropped about $10K into it last Oct/Dec to get it back to new condition as I could for that limited budget. I do find I'm pulling it out more now a days. B&B exhaust is still the best sounding exhaust on these trucks...love mine and I did the catless version.

I was at Pavillions same Sat but over in the bike section with my 89 GB500. Like you hardly anyone knows its a Honda factory replica of the old british cafe racer. Back then no one understood why Honda did a single rather than a twin but I 'got it' back then and now lol. I recently picked up a Honda Rune and Honda VFR1200. Hard to believe the GB is priced between the two and actually almost valued the same as the Rune.

Wow Chuck! 10K!! ?!? to freshen up the truck! Besides tires and a new exhaust like a B&B, what else would suck up so much cash??

Love the 89' GB500. Truly a classic. Is yours the "Black Green" color? Checked out the write up on it here...

My first bike ride ever was on my Uncles Honda CB350... EXACT color and vintage here...

Since you have refreshed the Truck, It would be very cool to do a meet up and drive or just sit and look at em'. I do the "Mesa Pavilions" NOT the Indian Bend. The crowds and darkness are just too much. I'm considering tomorrow evening about a 1/2 hour before dusk. Or even the Saturday after. A Fun easy drive is the Usery Pass....

down through the salt river. Easy for you south off the 87 and easy for me north from East Mesa. We could schedule a meet and go. Then have breakfast and chat over coffee at this North Mesa Location when they open at 7 a.m. on a Sunday......

Would be nice to do before the heat comes.

Hope to hear back from you... Cheers!

    Mileage and Pricing Update

    Pricing change... down to $34,900

Mileage change up to 40,000. I do occasionally drive it. Early on Sundays or to the local Saturday night car show. Also just performed an oil change with Mobil 1 0W40 FS synthetic and the Mopar MO-090 filter. As always, the engine does get primed prior to starting especially during an oil change. Now that the summer heat is on it's way, mileage will be significantly less as it stays in the garage covered awaiting a cool morning to run.

    Cheers!

Just to correct the statement above.... Not that KBB accounts for "Fair Market Value" on trucks like ours. This is "private party" value at 40K miles within the top 3% for condition....

    https://www.kbb.com/dodge/ram-1500-...4071781|true|6496168|true&condition=excellent

I am asking for more due to the quality level of mods and having all stock parts plus many extras with documentation as part of the package. I'd also consider reasonable offers or a trade for a same year or newer Cummins quad cab 2500 close in mileage and similar condition.

    Cheers!

Stock Manifolds? I thought you had long tubes from B&B?

Ahh, I just thought you had them. I thought you had stated you had a full B&B system. I have them and they arent bad at all. Still wish it had a stock style flange though.

Just check my signature line. Has always shown manifold back full system. Not cat back like most. Stock manifolds are very good. Flow, heat retention and fitment are ideal. The only thing I'd like to do is have them Jet Hot coated (more for appearance), Acid etched (15% more volume) and port matched to maximize flow. Probably still will if I hang on to the truck.

Awaiting comfortably for a new, proud owner.

New Interstate Battery late September and just passed emissions (as always ;).

A few extra miles to drop all the OBDII flags after new battery.

    40,191

Make a sound offer for a solid, clean, well maintained truck with choice mods.

    Cheers!!
