Over the past few years I've been putting off fixing the tank.
At this point it's sat for nearly 8 years (mostly in a garage)
The engine is most likely seized
All of the fluids and hoses need to be replaced
The Tires need to be replaced
The engine needs to be rebuild
etc...
I'm pretty sure I'm going to relocate (out of state) and need to figure out what to do with it.

Option 1: try to sell it as is (and or part it out)
Option 2: pay the 15-20K to fix it and then sell it

I don't even know what it's worth.. it's gotta go either way I'm not going to move it with me ... :(

And for those that don't know the truck... it's this one: 2005 Dodge Ram SRT10 - Custom Racing Truck - Truckin' Magazine

Seems like you've already decided what your going to do. If you know its not coming with you, I'd sell it as is and clean my hands on it. You also seem to understand your not going to get much as it sits with a dead engine, but if the body technically sound along with the trans you should be able to get something good for it, if all it needs is a new engine.

The trans was rebuilt right before it died. The body is in good shape, the interior is in great shape... It only has 24,000 miles on it. Yes it needs to get sold but if it's only worth like $7000, it's probably better to put 15K in to get it running again ... I totally made that number up, I have no idea what it's worth.

Fix it, i doubt it would cost 20k, maybe 10k, probably worth 30k running, blown probably 10k

or maybe sell all the go fast stuff off of it and just put a stock motor in it.. thats probably your best bet..

Yep definitely put a stock trans and engine back in it... Sell all the after market stuff separately.. throw out the junk parts and your good.... the aftermarket parts would pay for the new ( used motor trans) and your golden... Does that run an AEM computer? what mods are on the motor that you can sell off

Would you consider parting it out? How much would you want for the rear brakes and tire setup if you did? I can also forward a set of stock brake calipers

I dont have the patience to deal with parting it out... i guess i just gotta figure out how much its worth now

Unless you're gonna sell it as is, anything you do is gonna take patience...

I would offer you 10k, as it sits.

Parting it out is your best bet, and you're not spending any money to do so.

PM me if your are serious about letting it go.

If not, i am interested on several things on the truck.

you have an easy 10k to 15k in go fast parts you can pull off and sell, and then dump the truck for 10k...

Shoot it over to Tonys have him part it out for you

Thanks ill ping Tony this week. Was hoping to get 15k out of it.. running i figure its worth atleast 30.

Contact Dan Craign (SPT) since he built the truck and is in Los Angeles.

Right now, they are all slow parts since it isn't running. Right??? :D

What go fast parts are on it ?

I put the link to the vehicle in the original post. The build sheets are several pages I could probably track them down. As for the slicks, I still have them but you'd never want to run them as they are 10 years old. The wheels are nice (they're light too)

Hey...can you please PM me? I'm local and would like to see if we can work out a deal.
Thanks

you're not a member (I think because you only have 1 post)... so I can't pm you

Most likely I'm going to send the truck to JTS to a: figure out what's wrong with it & b: part it out.. My guess is the engine seized but to be honest, once I lost pressure the truck stalled within about 60 seconds. I'm not sure what happened. Email is the best way to get ahold of me [email protected]. The truck is in Simi Valley CA.
