I wished JMB made a closed oil catch can, I took mine off and sold it as well due to the fumes. I drive my truck to much and could no longer deal with the vapors.

I followed rotten Ronnie's lead and went with a closed catch can system. The fumes were getting to me too!

138,400 sweet miles with no catch can. DUH, what am I missing? :dontknow:
No fumes either, course at the right speed your nostrils flatten against your face.

Appreciate the kind words! I too once had one after removing my intake the first time 10 years ago and noting the oil contamination inside. The catch can proved after 10,000 miles to only collect condensation which is natural as it gets cool at night then you drive with 200* engine temps, then can cools down. Condensation forms. Intake after removing catch can looked exactly like before I cleaned it the first time I removed it. I removed catch can! I continued to put 155,000 on my truck filled with smiles, more kills than I can count, and a book of timeslips of track time. I spent years proving what works, and doesn't.
Happy to help you guys do the same!

I use the same set up as Rotten Ronnie. RX / McNally 32 oz. closed loop with one way check valves for constant draw under all conditions. I also use the metered nipple on the drivers side valve cover for draw and the factory fresh air feed on the passenger valve cover. You can see the set up in my for sale thread engine pictures.

Cheers!

Catch-cans do seem to take a bit of dialing in.

Since installing mine:
There is no more oil collecting in the O.E.M. accordion intake pleats nor throttle body.
That low-octane oil-mist doesn't get burned by the engine and can't set off the knock sensors prematurely.
My cats stay nice and clean.
The oil doesn't stink as much during an oil change so (potentially) less contamination from combustion by-products between oil changes.
No smell in the cab or under the hood.
