Only got 2 passes before the throw out bearing was starting to make noise. First pass I tried 4,000 rpm launch and got a better 60' time of 1.619 , was on a good pass till I tried to power into 4th gear and the shifter hung up, tried 3 or four stabs and it would not go in. That run was 12.25 @ 89 .77.....so embarrassed.
Let the truck cool for a bit, made my 2nd pass, Tried a little higher rpm, about 4250 off the line. I was in a good race against a trailered race car, Chevy II, open headers, that's him making all the noise on the video. Hard to hear my truck, he's popping at the end. Cut a good light, .086 to his .073, but by 60' I was in the lead and held it all the way down, beat him by a full length, 10.23 to 10.35. While picking up my time slip I heard a funny noise from the clutch, peddle was real soft on the top. Drove it 45 miles back home and it gave out just as I got home. We will get it fixed. Still short of the top 10 list, but maybe next time.
