Hey all I'm looking for a factory infinity subwoofer (I know they suck, but I don't want to replace the amp just to go aftermarket sub). If anyone has one that works and they'd be willing to part with, hmu. I don't need the box just the sub itself. Thanks

you dont need the physical sub itself, any sub will do, just match the size and ohms of your sub with an aftermarket and you will be just fine

SRTVenemous I was told by crutchfield that the factory amp won't push any aftermarket sub. I called them about a shallow mount Polk sub and they told me I'd have to replace the amp and I don't want to go through all of that.

you were told BS, look on the back of the sub it will tell you the OHMS, match it up and you will be fine.....

Ok cool man thanks a lot of I could do that it be a lot easier. I'm not worried about shaking Windows or anything just getting a replacement in there without having to change anything else

If I'm not mistaken, the factory subs are dual voice coil. I hear a number of people say how they didn't know that and tried to install a single voice coil sub and it sounded like crap.

yeah if its a Dual voice coil , make sure you get the same dual voice coil and same ohms

Lol I literally have no clue what that means I know nothing about audio. Could you guys send me a link to some example subs.

dual voice coil means when you look at the back of the speaker you will see two sets of leads to hook up, almost like you are hooking up two separate speakers.. so if you run a single voice coil sub instead of a dual it will be vary quite as your ohms will not match up.... So just pull the speaker and it will either have 1 set of red and black or + - leads or 2 sets,, if it has 2 its dual voice coil... so look at the sub if its 8ohms or 4 ohms with 2 voice coil.. just go to the audio shop and ask for 8am dual voice coil.. and ensure you hook it up the same way you unhooked yours...
