So my rear brakes are all faded and look almost pink not red anymore. So I finally found a spare set on eBay to rebuild. Started the process tonight tore them all down and pre-baked them in the oven to burn off all the oil and grease. Smoked my whole garage up lol. Looks like they were in pretty good shape so I should be able to reuse everything. Hopefully I can sandblast them tomorrow and coat them during the week sometime. IMG_3663.JPG

All sandblasted and ready for a wipe down and coating!! Prob won't coat them till the temp comes up a little the exhaust fan setup pulls all the heat out of the garage and it's 15 degrees here.

spraying your pink ones with some clear will turn them red again. It's worked for other people.

Are you going factory color? Or do you have something else in mind?

It prob would. but it wont last or look as good as a fresh powder coating.

I was debtating that I have a lot of colors stocked up. I'll prob keep them the stock color though. I'll have the spare set to play with.

I got them for under $200 shipped and they are heavy bastards!!! I'll be selling the set I pull off the truck when I'm done. PM me if interested

Ok finally got to coat them. They look awesome!!! Casting showed a little more then I expected.

I found a great shop to do my jeep brakes and one other parts. Came out super nice and all for a great price. Doing the truck soon.

I have acces to powdercoating how hard is it to disassemble the calipers? Any rubber parts inside ?

Getting ready to do mine. Had them sandblasted, then I ground down the casting for a smooth finish so that once coated they should look like a brand new pair of Brembos. Also purchased new replacement pistons, bleeders, bolts and lines.
