Hey people,
Just wanted to introduce myself like as the upstanding member I should be, lol. My name is Joe as my screen name shows, it’s a nickname I got from my motocross days. Former pro racer from the early 2000’s and now in my older age need a new way to keep my adrenaline fix going. I still ride locally down here in SC but usually don’t stray to far from home these days. I recently bought a silver 05 reg cab with 26k and absolutely love it. I’ve had some fast cars I’ve built before (78 Vette with a stroker engine most notably) so I’m mechanically inclined. So far the truck has a Magnaflow cat back with (2) of the cats deleted and a drop in K&N filter.
I’ll probably do some minor things like headers, a dyno tune and shifter upgrade to start but I’ll soon want more. Things like a porting the heads, bigger cam, injectors and upgraded ignition will be in the future. I’d also like to install a new headunit so I’ll have more control over the quality of the sound.

Welcome to the RBC from the Centennial state. Its good to hear that you are mechanically savvy, otherwise have your CC handy. I always say going fast cost $$$$.

Lol, I hear ya. Being a hands on guy really saves money. I just don't trust most people to touch anything I'm going to put my life on the line with. Seen some dodgy work from so called certified techs at reputable shops that forced me to learn everything I need to know to do the job myself. And the internet is a wonderful place to learn. You could literally watch other people make the mistakes first and then do it right, haha.
