I finally washed the beast. Took my girlfriend out for a ride to blow dry the truck off and give her the first ride she has ever had in my truck . She giggled like a teen. We are 60ish. What a great day. This truck makes us all feel young.

without question they help keep us young at heart. :)

This is great! Yes, sometimes I swear I feel like the Duke's driving the Superbeast. I uncovered the truck and took my 8 year old out for a spin. The cool Arizona night air was keeping the engine happy and my son exclaimed how he felt like he was going fast like "Sonic". The wife will not go for a spin because it scares her too much...LOL.

Cheers Guys! :burnout:

The dust off the 10 or your girlfriend? :D

That's awesome, Walenator. I agree, this truck makes you feel stuff. I guess it's personal as to what exactly.

I'm 71 and STILL enjoy my SRT-10 Crew Cab too! Last year for our 50th Wedding Anniversary my wife and I took all our kids and grandkids on a cruise out of Galveston Texas. I drove the Viper Truck to help with all the people and luggage (16 people). I had 5 people in the Cab and the WHOLE bed full of luggage. People and luggage, I'd estimate the weight at around 1200 lbs, easy. With the weight of the Truck at 6600 lbs, that gave me a total of around 7800 lbs. ANYWAY, after stopping for gas in Houston and trying to get back onto IH-10 and merge into Traffic, I showered down on the entrance ramp and Boom, scratched rubber in 2nd gear! Made my old ass smile!!

I'll be 72 in May, just finished a 900 mi round trip to Arkansas fishing with the bride and her sis. 4 of us, loaded with a weeks gear and women stuff and I was not about to shower down on the beast. My bride has a pace maker and I do not want to add an extra one.

But I'm headed on a 700 mile trip to Kerrville on Friday and will be alone looking for farm boys with a newly installed power chip in daddies diesel. :D

Let HER drive, then she won't be scared

You might though :dontknow:  :dontknow: Girls can drive you know ;)

I'd love to let her drive the Superbeast. I have told her it would be very easy to learn since you do NOT need any throttle modulation to get it moving in first or second. Just let out the clutch slowly while the engine is idling and it just rolls away with no drama. Luv the Torque of this engine!

Cheers!

LOL BUT you didn't tell her how to burn rubber :dontknow::D:rock::p

tell her 4000 rpm, then sidestep the clutch and stuff it!! Keep foot glued to floor board - DRAMA!! Better than E-ticket ride. ;) ;) ;)
