So I'm sure it's been asked but I can't find it when buying headers (05 quad cab) which do y'all prefer?
American racing/bellanger/Billy boat aaannnnddddd GO!!

I have the billy Boat. they are longtube as are the mopar ones that are no longer available. Belanger are the ones being sold these days. there is also the Gibson but no one likes them as they are really just a manifold replacement... small tubes (1 1/4") . the bassani's were popular at one time, again, they are a manifold replacement but had bigger tubes. Lots of heat under the hood.... there is nothing wrong with the manifolds except they look like manifolds! they flow perfectly fine. Back in the day there was one truck that made a ton of power through the manifolds......

I have the Billy Boat longtubes. What a MASSIVE difference in power and sound. I love them. They are huge too.

I have full Billy Boat exhaust. Love the sound. I had the MOPAR/Borla set up prior. No difference in power, but the MOPAR set up was way louder. If you don't know which set is MOPAR, the driver's side wraps around the steering column.

That looks like a PITA lol I assumed they were all about the same in the power department just didn't know if the difference in design made the bellangers sound different.

Now does anyone know where to pick a set up without having to sell my kidney on the black market?

I completely agree. Manifolds can even be better if you acid etch internally to bring up the volume about 15% and have them Jet Hot coated. Great flow on a stock engine and no headaches.

I can appreciate your statement. Do you have dyno proven or trap speed differences to show the power change? :)

Yeah, PITA is the key word(s) here, under hood heat, fitment, etc. I'd keep all this in mind. Melted harnesses can be a nightmare.

Cheers!

The Gibsons are actually 1 1/2" tubes ( I know, still small )..

Full B&B here.

Installing the headers changed the sound out the back and made it quieter than the manifolds.

I know that because I had the whole B&B setup and added the headers last.

I would have liked 1-1/2" primaries but B&B sells 1-3/4".

Those both sound great what performance did you see from that cam?

Beautiful truck ! Is the NA63 a good cam ?
