well, I just purchased this 04 RC about a month ago and as much as I like it, it wasn't what I expected performance wise. I figured something may not be right or I could just be use to my boosted z06. Today was the second time that under somewhat more than normal acceleration, it started breaking up pretty bad and felt as if it was "bogging" down. I plan on replacing plugs/wires/packs here in the next week but just curious if anyone else has had a similar issue and it ended up being something else. thanks in advance.

Welcome , and as asked already , is there any codes ?

Throttle position sensors are one of the main brains of the outfit. It sounds like you may have a water in the fuel issue. Try hooking up a pressure gauge to your fuel rail (fitting on passenger side) to make sure your pump is keeping up although they are quite large and reliable. Pull a few plugs; make sure your air cleaner is clean (on the bottom, not the top).
Back to basics...

I just pulled the codes and I've got the following:
P1281 - Thermostat Malfunction
P0455 - Evap emission system cross leak
P1499 - Hydraulic cooling fan solenoid circuit
P0442 - Evap emission system small leak

I purchased it with Gibson headers, Magnaflow catless exhaust, shifter, larger radiator, tb, and intake

EDIT* I took it for a drive and then came back and checked the codes and all remain except the Thermostat Malfunction code

Someone put water in my tank about 30K miles. Had to pull the tank and clean. The tech that did the work evidently pinched a line and I get a code 455 all the time. It changes my idle, millage and really messes up the cruise, but when erased all is well. Been doing this for well over 100K, I just did not want to pull the tank. I get is most often when it rains or the humidity is really high. Otherwise seldom. I may be totally wrong but I believe in clearing the codes and see if they come up again.

You should replace the Leak detection Pump to get rid of that P0455 code. They are known to fail.... :) $100 at Rockauto..... :)
