Will a plug/wire causing a miss always result in a code coming up?

None---no code, just wondering if it would as a passenger said it was missing but getting same mileage and seems to have the same power. It does miss after going thru a lot of rain and still no code. When it dries out---all is normal. I do get the 455 code after the rain but clear it and drive on.
    Thanks much

Actually I beg to differ I had number 1 the wire itself broken I repaired to get by but it caused a small misfire on idle or stumble and it was never bad enough to throw a code I just got around to doing the wires and coils from Tony and all is fixed up idles and drives great

Shorty I’m assuming you have not found someone to do that tuneup for you yet ? Get her done Pops she will smooth right out take a vacation and drive down to Miami I’ll do it for you for FREE man would not be worth the gas :D But it took me the better part of
2 hours to do the coils and wires and one trip to autozone for extensions for two bolts
