This is new for this truck. After driving the truck up to Deland and back last night - I bring it in - and clearly notice a light rattling sound under the drivers side. This is parked idling in neutral. Push the clutch in - rattle goes away. Let clutch out in gear - rattle goes away. Leave it idling in neutral with clutch out - rattle is there. Suspect I'm going to need to figure out what this is. Any input or guidance? Greatly appreciated. update - this morning, start the truck cold - no noise. nothing. so it's heat related.
yep, when it warms up mate... We call it the throw out bearing Either way someone is pulling a tranny.... thewelshm
If it has if it has stock exhaust manifold check the shield mine broke right at the bolt that holds it down. Mine did the same.
it's got long tubes on it. the sound goes away when the clutch is depressed. I'm gonna let it rattle for a while until it gets worse. I'm the only one who hears it. What's odd (I think) is it's got an aftermarket trans in it (Tranzilla). So, I'm thinking, well hell, if the previous owner swapped the trans somewhere along the line - wouldn't they have done the clutch and TO bearing at that time? Perhaps not.
