When I drive the truck and press the Brake pedal down it swings from side-to-side.
It does not do it when it is at the top, only when pressed.
When I look below, i didn't see any mechanical damage to the pedal assembly, but the more i can learn the better.

Ideas, theory's, solutions, takeaways?

2006 QC NR
90K miles

Yes, the cheap plastic power-pedal assembly has fallen apart inside and will need to be replaced.

is it detrimental or can it wait to replace? is that a universal pedal throughout ram 1500s or SRT10 specific?
Try the power pedal adjuster , mine does move side to side a little bit tightens up when I adjust the pedal .. been that way for years .. one day I may just fix it ..

Mine fell apart a week after I bought the truck (in May of 2005) and was replaced on warranty.

I've been afraid to touch the power-pedal adjuster ever since! ;)

The service guy showed me the broken parts.
They are not overly robust looking. :(

Mine went bad and I replaced the entire pedal assembly. About 120,000 mile back. I try not to use the brake any more than absolutely necessary.

I have a 05 QC with 73K on it, and don't have the power adjust brake pedal. Mine moves side to side, so I looked under the dash thinking something was wrong. From what I see, the pedal mounts to a tube, and allows the pedal to have side to side movement. Doesn't appear to have any broken parts or anything. Am I wrong with my assessment?
