Las Vegas 115F, sitting in traffic, never gets above 195 with a/c on.

Paxton, 170 tstat , tune for 170, M1 15/50 oil, OEM plastic blockers in the grill, paxton heat exchanger between condenser and radiator, coated Belanger headers

Check your ps (actually atf) fluid since fans are hydraulic. Also verify fans come on low speed and high speed

Shorty's information states he has rising temperatures at highway speeds. Especially above 70 mph.

This time of the year these beasts run hot mine is the same way especially when the AC is on but they have a massive radiator and fan to cool them down. I also use Mobil One 0W40 full synthetic.

the viper truck stock thermostat is a 195 to lower it to a 170 or lower means pulling the ECM and having it reprogrammed if not the cooling fan will still turn on only at the 195 setting.(i know from experience) my truck run 200 to 210 it used to bother me but not anymore

Don't stick your head in the sand Shorty. The SRT-10 radiator is WAY oversized. Your issue is elsewhere. Maybe even a simple full system flush with higher water content will solve it. KISS method.

Good advice and sometimes I forget to keep it simple. My heat problem, if there really is one, has been going on since the 20,000 mile mark. A flush would not hurt anyway and a little higher water content may be called for. Thanks to all for the help.

If your engine is operating in the 190-210 range. That is completely normal and in the design range for an all aluminum engine with this type of output. If it can run more towards the 190 end and you can keep intake temps below 104 deg., it will keep making great thrust! ;)

    Cheers!

Actually it has never hit the 215-220 mark-----guess I am a little paranoid sometimes. When it hits 205ish I turn off the air or slow down till it is back to the 195 range.

I would suggest doing the few simple things like the full flush and coolant change. Go 70-80% water, 30-20% dexcool and the appropriate amount of "water wetter" or "purple ice" for the complete mix, drop in the OEM thermostat, verify that you hydraulic fan turns on at both low and high speeds (for low road speed and stoplight cooling), and PLEASE put the grill block off's back in. You will gain performance (cooling, aero and handling).
On you next oil change, go down to the M1 0W40 and that will reduce overall oil temperatures. The bonus is, that particular "FS" oil is rated #6 on the list. Not #188 like the 15W50.

Then you should never have to turn off the A/C or slow down ;)

    Good luck!

Interesting comment (about temperature and thrust.

All-aluminum engines (like ours) seem to make more power under warmer block conditions, than cooler. I've seen this many times and in many different brands.I know some guys don't really care about squeezing out the last but of power but I've always found it interesting.

Well now. .. That would be the problem. I don't have EDIT (or anything else) at the bottom of my screen.
