I haven't needed them since its a million degrees out these days but the heated seat buttons are blinking at me and are not functional in any way.
    Anyone experience the same thing?
    solution?

It can mean several different things, depending on whether the top or bottom light is blinking. If you do a search in the forum you will find it; I have the same problem with my driver side seat. I would start by checking all the wires and connectors to make sure none of the wires are exposed or the connectors are loose. You can remove the seat cover pretty easily and see if any wires going to the heating element are broken, exposed or damaged.

probably popped a fuse.... The blinking means that the heater (or wiring) is shorted. usually the heat pad fails....

Another issue that is related to a blinking heated seat switch, in reference to 06 models, is that one of the vent doors did not register correctly. When you start the truck, the HVAC will occasionally go through a system check to make sure all the blend doors cycle correctly. If one of them is having a problem the heated seat light will flash until it cycles again, or after power has been disconnected, and everything is OK. If not, a blinking light will continue.

You can force a cycle check by disconnecting the battery for a few minutes. It should go through a quick blinking cycle, for about a minute, then go to a slower cycle afterwards, if something is wrong.

MY 06 QC does the same thing. I'm pretty sure it's the dreaded & familiar TIPM problem. When I start the truck both sides/both lights blink in unison for about 10-15 seconds, then stop. Pressing the buttons does nothing at all.....no lights, no heat. When I first bought it 2 yrs ago they worked fine, but then conked out after a few months. The TIPM is nearly impossible to find anymore, since it's been discontinued for years, but if you look hard enough you can find a garage somewhere in the country that'll do some sort of bypass to get the seats working again. That's about all I know. If anyone finds a "Fix" or whatever, PLEASE post it here..... Thanks!

The luxury of heated seats for some...while others simply wear thermals during the winter..:(
