What's up guys I'm new to the forums and the SRT10 world. So my truck is already lowered but im looking at lowering it more to sit more on top of the wheels i was wondering what the best kit would be to use. And also when im looking at parts do i make sure its srt specific or do i get the normal 1500 parts (for example tie rods)

Most use the 2/3 kit from JTSVP. If you want to go lower, maybe a C-notch or hydraulics? Regular RAM 1500 suspension components will not fit your SRT10. Shocks, control arms, springs are all SRT specific.

Possibly a stupid question but what exactly is C-Notch?

From a guy with a STOCK ride height SRT-10

C-Notch is a name brand (like Kleenex, or Trojan)

A c-notch is a modification to the frame so the rear axle can ride up higher. Very popular with air-bag suspension ... Also means you'll end up with some form of 4-link suspension in the rear. Axle up higher, truck body lower. That's how they get them down to the ground.

You would also most likely have to cut the floor of the bed away over the rear axle for clearance as well.

I assume that would affect the 10's handling capability if you alter its symmetry.

There was a pick on here years ago if I’m not mistaken of a truck that was modified to drop the body to the ground when parked .
Might be able to do a search for it .. personally I didn’t like it .. looked goofy to me and I think a bunch of others on here at the time bashed it ...

Ahh gotcha thanks for the explanation. im probably going avoid any frame cutting was just looking to sit the truck right over wheels as much as possible.

your truck height looks stock to me. Go with Tonys (jtsvperformance) extreme kit. think its a 4-5. I have a 4-5 on my truck, but i have a baby C notch

I have the JTSVP 2-4 lowering kit on my 06 QC. Looks great, front tires rub the fender wells when you hit any bump in the road. Looks great!

I have a JTSVP 2/3 lowering kit for sale, but be forwarned, even the 1/2 kit bottoms out without modifications. The 2/3 does even more. $600 shipped in the USA

Here’s a picture of a C notched frame, getting into lots of money going this route. You’d want someone that knows what they’re doing.
