Hey Guys,

I know there are 1001 threads about this exhaust but most of them are either ancient or not what I was looking for.

Basically I was thinking about picking up a nice cat-back for my truck and I couldn't find any good sound clips of just the cat-back system itself with the factory heads/mids. I'd probably finish the whole system at some point but I like both the way it looks and sounds, at least the sound of the whole system. I also like the fact the whole thing is T-304 which seems pretty difficult to find.

Anyway if anyone has any sound clips of a setup like this it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I started with a BB catback. It is something you will buy once.
I've since gone with their full system (headers, FF cats) and related piping.

Very deep sounding (as in set off car alarms on a low-speed rumble by)
No popping on decel
No droning on the highway

I don't have a sound clip handy but it IS on this site. If you want loud, look elsewhere.

Yes, there is stainless and there is stainless. The guy at the muffler shop said it was the hardest "stainless" system he had ever seen.

Not looking for loud, looking for tasteful and from what you described that sounds like what i’d be getting.

Thanks for sharing your experiences with it! That’s exactly what I was looking for.

I had Kooks long tube headers installed on my previous truck, do you think they would be good on my SRT?

I have this exhaust... only complaint is where the joints are, the clamps after a while start leaking. You can only tighten them so much. I’ve got them as right as can be and still have small leaks. If the system was put together with flared ends where joints are it would be a lot better.

No issues with B&B, other than the initial header install......sounds great!

Yes, although it's 2019, header manufacturers are unable to transfer bolt hole exhaust port dimensions to production. Even with B&B's "New, and Improved" manufacturing techniques, I needed to use (quality) ratchet straps for the passenger side alignment and a bolt-extender to actually twist #3 flange enough to correct it for being out by almost the entire diameter of the bolt hole. On the upside, once they've been through a few heat cycles, they relax and permanently settle into their proper locations.

I have full bb also . My old truck had mopar longtubes and mbrp . The bb is by far better sounding and no drone .

I have a set of MOPAR Performance long tubes and header back system, no cats. I believe they were fabricated by Borla. Even with no cats it's reasonably quiet in the cab [ and I'm old, you know your tolerance for noise is inversely proportional to your age ;-) ] ... I had the tubes jet-hot coated inside and out. I installed with the factory MLS exhaust gaskets. In nearly 15 years the only thing I've had to do is change the exhaust flange gaskets [ header to exhaust pipes ] earlier this year. Put in copper ones this time, they don't leak and will outlast the truck. Everything still looks new. It has a great sound also. This system is 304 stainless. Fits perfect, pretty easy to install.

I know the MOPAR Perf parts are discontinued, I'm not sure about Borla. If those aren't available, you can always try ARH. Craftsmanship is second to none and they will fit and sound great. Nice thick flanges also. I have one of their complete systems on my Challenger and it's awesome.

Full BB. Installed headers back single hi-flos. The headers went on easy. Both from underneath, bolted first tube than last, the others lined up with a tug. Burnt em in and re-torked. Planned for a v-Band install, but decided bolt on exhaust.
No leakes. The first thing i noticed when i fired this thing up was throaty rumble and that the sound was all at the back of the truck.....awesome.....and NO drone at speeds. IMHO there is no better performance add on to these trucks.....$$$ yes worth it.

agreed. this 06 RC I bought used has the full BB system and it's healthy. breathes great.
