So, I have been looking to get a truck for some time. As a recent home owner I constantly find situations that I wish I had a truck... But I don't like boring vehicles. And it does not get any less boring than a Viper dressed for work lol.

I am starting my search now and collecting data on what too look for when buying the truck, Pitfalls of ownership, Quad vs Reg cab and "how many miles is too many miles?". I am sure I will find tons of info on all of that stuff here, but if you have any sage advice, please drop me a line!

Depends on your intended use ... you know burnouts , drag racing or road course lol.....

I prefer automatic so I went with the grocery getter QC ....
if you have a family ,, that thing called a wife or little munchkins , QC is the ticket .

both have their quirks .. noisy rattles ,, but that’s easy to fix , just floor it and all is gone ...

Personally, get the lowest mileage you can afford and one that hasn’t been abused and overly modified ..

And if you can afford it , helll get both ..

Lol, get both... I like your style.

I got a wife a kids and we have a sedan already, plus the Iroc. That said, as much as I would love to have a manual again; the QC may be the ticket.

Had three of them mate 2005 QC's in Red and Silver and 2006 Mineral Gray, I have done about 250000 miles in these trucks, My 06 did 180108 miles before breaking a valve spring, and messing up the motor. It is now a garage queen with 5000 miles on new motor and trans. With a family mate go for the QC, I like the 06 model better than 05.. But that's just me..PS JTS did all my new engine work, Tony is a class act..

Thanks for the input for sure. I like the look of the QC quite a bit, it's low and has a nice length to it. There is a QC, with a T-56 swap in the fir sale section that looks to be in solid shape. Thoughts on a conversion?

What is your budget I know of several 06 QC one is red another is a NR with super low miles and in mint condition on these you will have to pony up.

Welcome to the RBC.

I'm in New Mexico. My budget depends greatly on the truck.

Old Colt has a super-clean 2006 Brilliant Black (slightly lowered) Striker-Headed RC for sale.
I did the engine work and it's a SOLID unit.
Comes with extra goodies.
He's looking for around 40K U.S. I believe.
