Any of the throttle bodies I've tried provide better throttle response (bigger openings), so more airflow for a given throttle position compared to stock. 8-10 HP on the dyno. We spent several hours back-to-backing on the dyno so the tests were valid.

Some guys report 11-13 HORSEPOWER with a throttle body swap.

A gain is a gain, regardless.

The change in throttle response made it worthwhile for me.

    MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL

Between that and an underdrive crank oully you can pickup 20 horsepower (easily).
Pulley size is everything. When I was selling them, it worked well and not until every single accessory was turned on at idle, was a slight drop in charging noted. That is where we stopped going smaller in size.
I'm not sure who is selling them anymore but that is another easy power mod (provided it isn't too small) .

What size (diameter) worked when you were selling them?

Spoke to Dan the fast man (great guy on the phone). He is booked up until early February with hemi stuff and has no cores atm.
He said if you can afford the down time you can ship yours and he will coordinate it so it will be done in a day and back out to you.
I will be re-visiting this in spring and keep an eye out for a used TB for a good price so I can swap them out.

I'm thinking of doing the same as you. I saw a few on Ebay just a few days ago. Don't remember the asking price though.

Good Point. I think I'll go with the JTSVP TB. It comes as Plug and Play, right? Or are there other parts needed to buy?

Not sure how it comes ... I bought the BBK years ago before any others were made ... If I was to get another one then I would call Tony at jtsvp and ask about it ... maybe someone else can answer that question on here ....

BBK comes complete (or they used to years ago).
Others require you to remove the throttle blades from your original unit and install into the new one.
They all provide better throttle response and more wot power.
I never tried a single blade. If you search old threads (this forum) there are comments about them.

I put my XMetal single blade back on after I got tired of the BBK sticking and the additional return spring I had to add to stop that stuff. Now my cruise control works again.

XMetal single blade makes more seat-of-the-pants power and it's got way, way better response.
