Interesting...I also read people switched to gen2 slow bleed for their builds?
 
Yes, it's an option for sure.
Personally, I'm using adjustable rockers with the oem high-bleeds and they work well.
.150" travel, so lots of adjustability. Once either are pumped up (low or high-bleed) they are pumped up and (nearly) act like a solid lifter anyway.

I believe in theory that the slow bleed lifters would not leak down as much and help maintain lift at higher rpm hence help top end power while the fast bleed lifters would leak down a little and mimic a smaller cam profile (lift wise) and help promote torque at lower rpm. Torque is what most will want but the slow bleed lifters may have an advantage for larger more aggressive cams where horsepower is generally in the upper rpm.

Considering what an adventure it is to change a cam in a Gen III (not nearly as bad in a Gen ii), sliding a new performance cam in without being able to degree it actually would have made things worse for his engine. A lot of effort to makes things worse.
Lining up the marks on your cam and crank sprockets when installing a camshaft and calling it good, is NEVER an option.

Still waiting on a few items to come before the project starts but here’s my pile, lol. Gonna have the pre cat sensors relocated to right after the collector and plug off the ones in the primaries. And if I get a CEL on the post cat sensors I’ll just delete them from programming. I’ll def need to extend the wiring to the pre cat sensors though. Def not trying to spend $75 for the extensions, easy enough to properly make them long enough with some wire and protective heat sheathing.

Gorgeous pile of money you have sitting there! Hopefully in a few months, I'll be able to buy my setup, and electric cut outs.
 
Trying to get outside after work or even on the weekends is difficult with a little one in the house, lol. If the virus situation gets any worse it could possibly shut society down enough for me to be able to start working on it for more than 10 mins at a time. Hahaha

Yeah, I just received a notice from SC that the schools are closing down. Gonna drive parents insane, LOL.
