I think she was the only one in that movie.
All I saw anyway as a young teenage lad.
 
I am repairing the main mounts for my hood scoop with fibreglass so far so good. Have marked the hole centres and next days off I shall finish it off. I found this neat product from ADOS that has fibres in the resin.

I figure to get a new scoop was going to be in excess of $1200NZ. I don't have that sort of money.
 
I tried a fiberglass repair ONCE and it certainly didn't look as good as yours.
Thanks, but we shall see if it works first. I cut rings off a plastic vacuum cleaner pipe and stuffed it full of fibreglass. I can't pull them off so I figure that should hold. I have just finished using Araldite to epoxy glue the tags/spades on the leading edge. Fingers crossed.

Hey Ronnie, got a question. Sometimes when I floor it in first gear, and it's shifting into second, there's a second of hesitation, kinda like pushing in a clutch to shift. My SLT did the same thing, what causes that?
 
I'm assuming you have an automatic. :)
It's called many things but it is designed to allow your transmission to live a normal life by cutting power just before it makes the 1-2 shift. Torque-Management is probably the most popular term for what you are describing.
If you get a tune, it will eliminate that and by far it is the biggest bang-for-the-buck performance improvement you can make in a Quad Cab. Somewhere around 85 lbs. ft. of torque is unleashed in a really usable rpm area and it's a HIGHLY recommended mod for the QCs.

I wouldn't try towing and using wide open throttle with the tune nor too many passes with drag radials.
Nor would I want to drive a QC without having a tune.
The difference is enormous.

yes moving to a place called Pleasant Point about 20km inland from Timaru in the South Island

Next problem I am solving is the damaged firewall insulation and sagging conduit. As per pic. Will post pics soon of the much more tidy under hood

All Done. Glued crap to firewall and then riveted the ducting snug to the firewall also holding the crappy stuff on.

I really like this "stuff" and have since I was in my early teens.
Although I've changed lots of components, most of the driving is part-throttle (no full throttle) for weeks at a time; like you said, super-cool to just go out for drives.

Looking back, headers were likely the biggest expense and didn't seem to make as much difference as I thought they should, particularly with aftermarket heads, more compression and a semi-aggressive cam grind.

Our weather here allows for only 117 frost-free days in a year. VERY little time to track-tune or enjoy the motorcycle. But no killer pizza-sized spiders and (2) varieties of poisonous snakes. Even they are smart enough not to live here. ;)
