Mufflers

Yeah I thought it was a pretty sound plan. By the time I turn it into Kiwi peso + Freight + 15% tax it isn't that cheap anymore. It will happen
One day I will take the belt off and check it and low and behold I need a new one.;) Seems silly not to change pulley too......then I should be roughly.....7500HP hahaha
Well if all the manufacturers are right with their claims, do the math lol. Until it goes on the dyno or track.:D Good old fashioned dose of reality.
Speaking of dyno's, I found one about 4 miles from where I stay. $150.00 for three pulls. Gonna wait until I get my exhaust though, and the tune.

I googled it, sounds yummy. Kinda pricey though, you must be a millionaire.
That's actually value for money in NZ.
With the high cost of fuel, tax, welfare state etc makes everything expensive. Obamacare can do that for you too:D
Unfortunately leaves little money to spend on truck...or doing anything for that matter
I have to budget for everything I get for the truck. No I am not a millionaire, just a milk tanker driver.
Just having the truck is out there. My other car is a Citroen C4 diesel can do over 800 miles on a tank of fuel. Most people have tiny used Japanese imported cars. Have a look at the crap we drive on Trademe.co.nz
It is all about cheap and fuel efficient. There are some cool cars as well....in fact probably the best selection in the world for wealthy people.:( Hey but I got a truck...a VIPER TRUCK!!!

There was a dyno in Whangarei but it closed down as not enough work for it.
Plenty in Auckland 3hrs away
I should get it fine tuned on Dyno.....one day
I have Torrie's tunes on my Laptop and can plug that in and VCM Suite etc
Put in the hands of a REAL tuner with a dyno and look out.
Underdrive pulley comes first
You are up early 6am?

Yeah, I start work at 6am. I use this internet to communicate on here, and other things. My place where I stay, is an old hotel called Quail Run (google it). They don't have up to date internet, so most of the time, if trying to watch Netflix or Amazon, the stupid loading circle just spins around. I have to use my phone Hotspot so I can pay my bills online. Not a bad deal though, it's $210.00 a week, room and sheets cleaned once a week, free cable, and of course the horrible internet. They also have a great buffet restaurant or menu order. It's called The Frog and the Peach. Their fried porkchops are outstanding!

Looks good. It looks like you would work in one of those aircraft service industries across the road. That's real handy.
Oh I love buffets. Unfortunately I am a pig. Their one looks good. 2005 I stayed in the Raudmont Sikeston MO it was similar We went back in 2007 and it was gone, bulldozed.
Came through Savannah GA in 2010 just before Christmas (No not a holiday! it is Christmas) I don't remember where we stayed but I remember we had Gator for dinner. Yum!

Gator tail is the bomb! Across the road at Quail Run is the Air National Guard base. Gulfstream Service Center is about a 1/4 mile away, and Main Plant is about 1/2 mile as the crow flies.

Damn, $8 per gallon? I can see why you only drive the Beast only a few times a week or month. Might as well buy a Prius....

On a side note, I had my JTSVP underdrive pulley installed on Friday. WOW, what a difference the smaller pulley makes. My truck has a quicker response from a dead stop, or just cruising down the road. Put's a big smile on my face. And, sitting at a light, AC on full blast, and lights on, the alternator still puts out around 13.9 volts. The needle sits just at the left edge of the "14" mark at idle, and once driving, it's at 14 - 14.1 volts. Pleasantly surprised. If ya'll don't have one on your stock engine, I might recommend getting one, you won't be disappointed.

It costs money in fuel costs to go faster lol!!!!

We end up making our own or inventing stuff. That is one of the spin offs of a far away island. Over the 150 years we have had to be more self reliant, although the internet has changed that a lot. One mouse click, pay the dolleros and one day it arrives. Most exhausts are fabricated here, way cheaper than trying to import one. However most mufflers are imported.
I had a 68 Buick Riviera and it was going to cost $2500 for a good system from TA in AZ. I had one made local for $1200 and swapped mufflers until we liked the sound then welded them inView attachment 63809
Kiwi it looks like you got bit by the detroit bug just saw your other Reviera Buick with your 10 those wannabe monaros got nothin on you lol!!!!

Can’t wait to get my exhaust system with the cutouts. Your truck sounds vicious, Kiwi!!!
