Thinking about selling the srt10. I bought it new and had extensive mods done. built and tuned at Underground Racing. It is in excellent condition with 1,950 miles. srt10tk2.jpg srt10 tk.jpg

Lol. Yeah it is. It is a 522 forged/billet stroker. It has a custom ground cam, throttle body, Bellinger headers, crower rockers, AEM stand alone, etc etc. If I had more time I would keep it. I have so much in it I will be lucky to get half of it back....hopefully someone buys it and likes as much as me.

Strokers make for some interesting cam demands because of the increased dwell at BDC and TDC and...so does nitrous and...so does forced induction. :)

    Good luck with the sale!!

I wouldn't worry too much about the BIG DE-VALUE MYTH because of mods. I really think that is something car dealers have always used (as most haven't a clue what they're looking at if it isn't stock) and that philosophy spilled over to the public. When they are taking in a trade, all they really CAN do is try to grab it for the stock vehicle wholesale price to keep that particular market consistent.

You are buying something because you want it own it. If the buyer is happy and you are happy with the agreed price, then THAT is what it is worth.

Is that GT-350 that recently sold at auction for 3.85 M (?) really WORTH 3.85? Not to me, but it sure was to the guy that bought it and that's what counts.

My friend Burton (Old Colt on this forum) recently sold his premium 2006 SRT-10 RC for $55K. That was a decent price and it had several mods. Those mods were properly applied and all worked well together. And the guy buying it apparently appreciated that fact. Rumor has it he tried his best to remove the "holy shit" handle up by the windshield during the test drive. :)

Your truck has super low miles and looks like you spent some good money on it to have it just the way you want it.

I owned a 1971 Hemi-Charger RT when it was only a couple of years old. By today's standards as far as cars go, it did many things badly. The new owner turned down 240 thousand a few years ago, I think he made a mistake but once again, he thinks it is worth more.
I paid 5 grand for it early in 1973.

I wouldn't give your truck away.
    She's a beaut!!

55k U.S. sounds like a very reasonable price to me.
Best of luck with the sale.
