I am out of action for awhile. I have become the $6 92 cent man 2 new knees. Titanium coated stainless steel knees with nolathane bushes courtesy of Stryker Here's hoping the knees are as good as the heads lol Just doing doing some research to see who has the recommended lubricant. So far it seems the best I can find is Jim And Pete's
They should have shaved your whole leg(s) it would have looked way smoother Good luck with that healing!
Dang Kiwi, hate to see this. Get better soon, your SRT Chariot awaits her master's return. What is that stuff in the jar, real honey, or some kind of salve?
Real honey from my friends in Whangarei (their hobby) Teaspoon a day, usually on toast. Good little additive
There is a song out there with the lyrics " be kind to your knee's , you'll miss them when they are gone"
I have better ones now but apparently heavier. They are Stryker #8 the biggest they make. Getting around pretty good now. No rush tho with sick pay and holidays I don't go back to work until end of July
You will confuse your fit-bit device when you start running at freeway speeds when those new knees break in.
I just stagger around. I look like I am ready for the old folks home hahaha They ain't getting me yet. I can get about in the house with no crutches. When we go walkies I take them for safety. In the next few days it will become a hiking stick. The exercise bike is also going to happen this week as I almost get full rotation of pedals. So things are going well. Very tiring tho. I have at least 2 extra sleeps during the day. The Surgeon is very happy and so is the Physio.
Knee surgery might not as satisfying as a boob job (for either the host or the benefactor), but it will be nice to be able to do the simple stuff again. Hang in there, time is what cha' need.
Speaking of automatic, I finally got mine rebuilt and picked the truck up on Friday. WOW what a difference a rebuild makes! They replaced all internals, including the planetary gear, rebuilt the torque converter (ran out of money to buy a performance one, maybe later), Transco shift kit, plus all soft parts. It runs better than when I bought it. Never drove a vehicle with a shift kit in it, and it's impressive when getting on it, slams me back in my seat, LOL. Next will be the tune from Torrie. Funny thing, I live in Savannah Ga, he lives in St. Augustine Fl, which is about 3 hrs away. I'm gonna see if he can do the tune at his shop, would be nice to take a little ride down to there. Lived in St. Augustine back in the early to mid 90's, beautiful area.
So glad the trans is good. A trip to FL is always good. Stayed at a truck stop in St Augustine once back in 2005 Flying J maybe Torrie will see you right
The tune on an SRT-10 with an automatic is one of the most dramatic changes you can make to the performance of your SRT-10. I picked up a whopping EIGHTY pounds-feet of torque (under peak). You will not pickup that much power for that little money with any other mod(s). You are in for a real treat if your truck hasn't been tuned yet.
Kiwi praying for a speedy healing otherwise the fords and monaro wannabes will be wondering what happened to the 10 that chewed and spit them out lol!!!!!
Thanks mate. Doing well 7 weeks tomorrow and I can walk up and down steps. Drive the truck, well I will be when the weather is fine. I go down the hill from our place and do a lap of the block and back up the hill. I do about 30 min on the exercise bike and then sleep
Flying J? I believe that's on S.R. 207, right? The first exit on southbound I-95 coming into St. Augustine. I lived in St. Augustine for almost six years, beautiful area.
