There is a lot of background noise in that video but on my end it sounds like it is knocking and down a cylinder (or 2). Or a header leak. I really cant tell.

Start with the basics: A compression test and go from there.

The fan solenoid is a much smaller item at the moment.

agreed, thank you for the insight

so, i took the head covers off and found a loose rocker. thought it could be a bent rod, rolled it and found it to be fine. i was going to take off a different rocker and compare/replace the other one and see if it still rattles. a mechanic friend states it is likely a collapsed lifter. I dislike that idea because to replace lifters... i'd have to take off my supercharger and my headers, as well as my heads to replace all the lifters, not just the one...

anyone else have any ideas?

Yes, it sure sounded like that engine was down a cylinder (or 2) from your video and a loose rocker will certainly cause that.
I'd be wondering why the rocker became loose.

Anyway, if you've replaced the rocker and something is still "loose" it can only be the lifter and/or cam lobe. Unless of course someone installed a shorter pushrod than all the rest at some point and it's always rattled. That seems unlikely.

The OEM lifters are quite robust.

The only failure I've heard is IF the plastic locating-"holster" snaps, the lifter can turn sideways to the camshaft. The roller on the roller lifter no longer rolls and things "go bad" from there.

In the unlikely event you have to change the lifters out, MAKE SURE the little oiling-hole points UP (towards the Intake manifold).

Retorque the lifter holster with Red thread locker.
