Shipping today my 2005 QC. It's been a ride but with it's age (184,000 mI) and my age (75) its time to pass her along to another. A great big thanks for everyone here that has made my owning her a much better experience. All the help and encouragement has meant the difference in owning and loving our trucks. Again, thanks to all of you. Shorty
You say the ol' girl had 184k on the clock? Is that on the original engine, no rebuild? If so, that's impressive!
I notice you have Magnaflow mufflers. I've been looking at Wicked Flow Kamikaze mufflers and they sound great. How do you like yours, is it a deeper sound than factory?
I run mine every weekend, and run the Longhorn through the week, and occasionally the SRT8 Jeep I'm blessed mate. thewelshm
This is my second 10, I had 2005 and the day I sold it I regretted doing it. I won’t make the same mistake twice between my Demon, Durango and the 10 life is good. Dodge made something special with these trucks I still walk outside and stare at mine.
I'll see if I can get a video soon (but it won't be the same as hearing it in person.) That said, the exhaust was done by a previous owner, and appears to be stock manifolds with rear cats removed, going into what appears to be (2) 14" Magnaflows. The sound is pretty deep at idle, but sounds sort of like a V6 when cruising - sounds pretty nasty when revving though.
Yeah, I've been on YouTube listening to different mufflers. Haven't heard the magnaflow, but some sure do make it sound like a V6 on steroids. Not sure that's the sound I want. If you get a chance, get on the Tube and search SRT10 Wicked Flow Kamikaze. A muffler shop in Cali posted it a few years back.
I like what I heard there, but they didn't run it out any. Would love to hear the top end sound on it.
that must be why the Queen still sits on her throne. Every time i think of parting with her I just know I will regret it.
