Motor blown!

It depends on what YOU want and how much you are prepared to spend.
Long time (almost a year) and now "finally" finished. Unfortunately, started ok, and while cold everything is fine. However, once at correct idle and warmed up it starts "popping" from one cylinder. Check plug wire (new) locations and change the fuel injector there. No luck. Got any ideas on this?

Sounds like a plug is borrowing energy from another plug wire (except yours are new??) or a coil tower is damaged and firing at the wrong time and/or you have a valve hanging open/sticking. Recheck the firing order.

With my own engine, the number 8 Piston top popped from detonation and there was piston material welded onto the valve seat in that cylinder. That aluminum material was holding the valve off the seat just enough that it wouldn't seal. Fortunately I had a good look around before things went back into service and caught that. That definitely would have caused "popping".

Keep looking around. Isolate which side of the engine then which cylinder.
You will find the issue with yours.
