Considering Selling my '05 QC

What parts are you having a hard time finding? And exotic v-10's cost money, but damn are they fun.

The engine really isn't "exotic" as it has its roots in the old, Chrysler LA motors. I mean, Ferrari helped design the intake manifold or something, but it's just a big old, cam-in-block, pushrod engine.

It was built in partnership with Lamborghini. The shared "Roots" with the LA motor are minimal at best. There is a pretty good documentary on youtube about it.

It is also the highest torque producing naturally aspirated vehicle engine built, to this day. (the gen 5 holds this title now, but still the same basic engine)

Sorry, Lamborghini. Also, are you sure about "most torque" from an NA engine? I'm pretty sure there's been at least one V8 and a few V12s that have eclipsed it. Don't get me wrong, the engine is wild and lots of fun, but I'm really starting to think it isn't for me.

The gen 5 engine makes 600 ftlbs of torque. I am unaware of any engine, and the mopar engineers still claim, that is the highest torque producing naturally aspirated vehicle engine ever made. This clearly doesn't include big boats or crazy engines like that.

All in all though, if the truck isn't for you, now is a good time to sell it. Prices are good. Wish you had been selling it about six months ago, would have saved me a trip to Virginia.

So I'm on some other Viper forums on Face Book, and this one guy with a black RC blew his engine up. Instead of looking to rebuild, or find an engine for sale, he dropped a Triton V-10 in his truck. Now he wants to sell the truck, and is getting roasted by other forum members for devaluing the truck, LOL!

Wait, wait, wait... a Triton V10? As in a Ford 6.8L V10? How did he even make that work? The time and effort simply couldn't have been worth it.

Most likely he did a junkyard swap. Grab the engine, ecm, and trans from a shitty ford and stuff it in. But your right, who the hell would want that?

Yes. He didn't elaborate on how much trouble it was to get everything set up. I thought about offering him 5K, the truck looks great. I would then contact X2 Builders, and toss the Triton to the curb.
