2006 qc night runner

Brought this for my son who has his permit. It's for me really but he gets to call it his. Lol
Doing maintenance and bolt on's currently and adding little things here and there. Truck is almost mint.

Added
Hemifever tune
Ceramic coat
Red under lights (he had to have them)
Bbk throttle body
Borla exhaust (already installed)
Kn intake (already installed)
New plugs
New wires
New coils
Rear shackles
New amp and 10" sub
New heated seat buttons
Resealed cladding driver door
Led lights everywhere

Love this thing

Lucky son!

Ran a 8.64 @ 81.5 after removing the bed cover and tailgate. The truck slowed down on the new tune so I went back with the original aftermarket tune.

Who did the original tune.. do you know?

Another exhaust mod ;) and the spare tire off. Did some trans maintenance and made 21 1/8 passes on the truck. Son finally broke into the 8's with a best of 8.83 @ 80.6 in 3200 da.
Got a new tune and a 100 octane tune to try. Next up lose the tailgate and bed cover, then maybe nitrous.
Had about 10 people surrounding the boy and the truck and he was so proud. Not the fastest obviously but it was respected.
Hey just being out there and having a good time. It is what great memories are made of.

Going to datalog and send some to Torrie for him to look at. He said his canned tune is conservative, to be expected.

I was going to say.. most of the community has used Torrie with great success.. including me. Keep us in the loop!
Thanks!

Installed some trans parts band, servos and new electronics for maintenance. The trans go kit went good but the trans flares on the 2-3. I need to pull the valve body again and remove the extra spring in the 1-2 piston. Hope that works, the 1-2 barks at 3/4 and up. Drive 100 percent better in normal driving now.

Updates
8.4 @ 84 with a 1.97 60' spinning. It was no prep so....... even had the 27" slicks on it. It has cut outs on it now, operates off a switch. Lol super fun.
2020 f150 4x4 5.0 with bolts ons running e85 called us out. It was a single cab short bed and it did roll out. Beat him by a truck on a good fair race.

He lives upside down compared to the rest of us North of him.
And we drive on the other side of the road.
Americans are not comfortable with stick shift (manual trans) I think it may be because you are working away from you across the neutral gate. It is far easier to work toward you with the left hand across the gate. I don't have much trouble with the stock shifter, maybe that's why? Just thinking out loud. When we drove OTR trucks in he USA we had trouble with the Road Ranger and Meritor boxes too. Food for thought. Maybe the reason that for decades right hand drive cars were mainly manual trans where the US etc went to autos. Ease of operation maybe.

Well done. I just smash Ford Rangers here. Those guys think they bought Ferrari's

LMAO! Aren't they only 4 cylinders?
If they're new Rangers they have EcoBoosts. Apparently they are responding well to boost increases.

So much easier to tweak forced induction setups for more power.
Until you pass the OEM boosted design limit with gasoline engines.
Then the "compressors" blow out warm air, engines detonate, and blow up.

Then the science experiment is well underway!

We live in interesting times with nearly 300 horsepower V6 minivans running around.

And 700 horsepower AMG minivans.

So how much torque/horsepower they putting out?
Stock they're 270/310 hooked to a 10sp trans. Apparently upping the boost and a retune will get you 60 whp right off the bat. Add the fact that it only weighs about as much a modern Dodge Charger and it's immediately as fast as an R/T. The Aussies get a Raptor V6 EcoBoost rated at 392/430 stock. Tweak the boost on one of those....12 sec truck in an F150. Supposedly the more powerful Raptor version was supposed to come to the US for the '23 MY; I don't know if it did or not.
