I know I sound like an old man (just turned 45) but I truly miss this forum. This place was fire years back The level of involvement, support and the amount of incredible people that were on here was just amazing. I was fortunate to meet many from MA, CT, PA and even met a few guys down in Scottsdale, AZ at a car show when visiting friends. Such interest by all, such amazingly supporting vendors, Justin and Tony were just amazing guys to deal with. I know nothing lasts forever but wishing this place could have stayed as it was in the good ol' days. They say third times the charm... Life has me super busy and work focused right now, but sooner than later I'll have my 3rd 10. Congrats and welcome to any newbies around here, and a big hello to all the 10/VTCOA vets. Take care all.

Our trucks are getting old.

So am I.

Neither fact bothers me. :)

It was fun on this forum during the early years, for sure. I got to engage in some lively conversations, as did others!

PS With the recent modification to the depth of my aftermarket Injectors, power is UP and so is the mileage. Both positive results.

When you say depth of injectors, are you deeper in the manifold or shallower?

The outer rim of the piston top shows little combustion as that is the Squish/Quench area from zero-decking the engine.

It is easy to see areas of no combustion under the injector on the piston top and on the corresponding area of the combustion chamber. That should be resolved now.

The capacity of the oem injectors was exceeded due to my engine mods.
I found some injectors with a higher capacity, BUT they are 1/2" shorter than oem and have a 4-hole, 30 degree spray-pattern. Unfortunately, the spray would hit the sidewalls of the bore, recondense and fuel would drip out of the opening (not burn).

The injector bore in the Intake Manifold was deepened and the fuel-rail pads were milled so the rails could reach the injectors. The injectors can now reach to the end of the bore.

Now, I either have to upgrade my borescope or yank a head this fall and have an actual look at the end result.

Throttle response, wot power and gas mileage are all up, which isn't really a surprise.
Incomplete combustion before, far more complete combustion now.

Here is an unrelated pic of my daughter in her Smart Car on a Mustang Dyno. The mighty Mercedes 830cc 3-cylinder turbo diesel nearly broke the dyno with 85 lbs ft of torque and 59 wheel horsepower. ;)

It's an old pic I had left in the media section.

This was a hoppin place back in the day!

I hope everyone is doing well and hangin in there!

Good to see Ronnie still enlightening us with all of his wonderful knowledge! That there is hard to find.

Long Live the Queen!!!

It's been a while! Sponsored a Cruise-In last night and had a conversation with several folks about "the ones that got away". Tried to log in...forgot my password, reset, and here I am. SEVERAL cars/trucks since letting the 10 go. Currently have a 22 TRX (had his and hers but traded one), 23 Jaguar F-Type R, 21 Toyota Tacoma, 15 Ram 2500 and various "Projects". That being said, I'm really missing the 05 Silver RC! Last l remember a guy in the Carolinas had bought it and contacted me about some of the mods. Most notable were the discontinued Boyd Coddington wheels. If anyone sees it, let me know. I would like to bring it back home.
