Since Its not always to conveinient to get 100 octane (because the pump is 50 miles away from me) I will dump this in my tank before I fill up with 91.
My timing is pretty aggresive with the flash from dc. Have you guys tried this product and is it resistant to knock? I can put two bottles in if that helps.
Because I thought pinging will only occur at WOT. Let me know what you think

don't know in the US but i've heard over here that's all bulshit. They claim octane boosters as 10 points etc. , but a point = 1/10 octane. :dontknow:
So to go from 91 to 100 octane you need a 190 points booster. And that makes a tank of gass very expensible.... :D

ive used torco its good stuff but ur not goin from 91 to 100 lol get c16 for that. supras use that

Ive used it very sucessfullt in my srt4. The car has a high octane mode (HOM) that reads off of the knock sensor. ANytime it sees knock it automatically drops the mode. I had to mix at minimum 5 gallons of 110 leaded to 5 gallons of 93 (101.5 octane) to get it to hold HOM. A can of Torco unleaded formula to 8-9 gallons of gas would also hold. If I mixed with a full 12 gallons it would sometimes hold but occasionally drop, same deal if I ran 4 gallons of 110 to 6-7 gallons of 93. It definitely works, they claim 104 octane to 10 gallons of 93, but I would say its closer to 100 for ten gallons. Youll get this weird residue on your plugs from it, but otherwise no side effects that I saw. I tried all the NOS stuff and all the stuff at the gas stations, it was all garbage. Ive heard the NX stuff works pretty good too.

i always throw a couple of cans on nx in mine before i go to the track, seems a little peppier

There is another comany http://www.octaniumpower.com/ thas has an octane booster that is supposed to be better than Torco.

"While there are several other commercially available octane boosters available presently, the results from them are limited at best due to their chemical composition and the lack of verifiable octane enhancement provided by each. Ocatnium differs from others in the market in that the chemical composition has been developed, tested and proven to raise octane in gasoline (R+M/2 formula) a full seven points or higher (from 93 into 100 Octane), dependent on the dilution of the product in a tank of unleaded gasoline."

I've been using Trick brand octane booster in my car for years.....

My engine guru sez that the problem with most octane boosters is they contain magnesium which gums up the internals with a purplish goo....

But apparently Trick has no magnesium....That's why I figure it's OK.....

But still, yer gonna have to use alot of it to be really effective....

Might as well buy fkn jet fuel.... costs about the same in the long run.....

Mind you, I'm only regurgitating what I've been told.....

I'm actually a complete moron about such things......

I fill up at a half tank almost every time and put 2 gallons of 110 octane at least 3 out of 4 fill ups and have no knock issues now at all. It has a race fuel smell out the exhaust now as well. I don't know what octane I am running now like that, but the truck seems to like it. I suppose the octane rating goes up slightly with every fill up since there is still some 110 in the tank. It cost an extra $10.00 per fill up. I only drive it on pretty weekends so I fill up only 2 times a month usually anyway.

I have tried a LOT of octaine boosters, and TORCO is the only one I will ever use. I have the stage 2 flash also, and it pings like crazy unless I add about 20 oz of torco with each fillup. It changes 91 to 94-95 octaine.

if you buy it by the 5 gallon jug, it's not too expensive. my first 5 gallons just got used up after about 20,000 miles

Used to be an old time remedy of mixing 3/4 Unleaded to 1/4 High test to increase Octane level !!Supposedly, even with the UNleadeds today it still holds true !!!:dontknow: I'm not a Guru either, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express one time though !!:D
